Guys guys,

Before unwanted rumours starts spreading like a Palio phase off and such, let me add..

The pricing discounts are for 'Diwali'. I saw this ad on paper yesterday while in my office [not Wednesday's paper though].. It was clearly mentioned 'Special Festive Prices'

But, I don't know if the reduction in prices will stay beyond Diwali or will be withdrawn. That wasn't mentioned in the Ad.

I am posting 2 snaps of the ad i took, but the pictures are extremely poor quality. Please excuse... [i have the worst 2 megapixel cam ever manufactured]

while this sounds too tempting, i have this horrible feeling that this is just to clear out the existing stock and phase out the Palio (which seems as a sensible move, given the Vista has arrived) and make way for the GP.

Lets wait and watch.

That make me feel much better, because if prices are down across the range means my Black puppy (read Swift VDi - Black) was a mistake ?

Na... hit 2k rpm Zooooom...!
My 4.5yr old nephew, does't want to go for a ride on my Zen with a FFE, he wants to go for a ride on the Swift which goes Zooooom...!

Yup that is what he said.
He also said petrol cars are slow and diesel cars are faster.

But with the inflation and the rise in steel prices how does fiat offer a price cut ?
Better for new buyers anyways...

This is just mind-blowing information dude.

But still, I wonder what is the on-road price in Bangalore? Damn BLR govt. The LTT is exorbitantly high

Its a very nice move. I guess they want to bring inthe Punto at the 5lac sub category and then the Linea at the 7/8lac catergory. Thus they want to be in 3 different categories.
Wat say if they are as below:
Palio : 3lac small hatch segment
Punto : 5lac premium hatch segment
Linea : 8lac Sedan segment

This does not really look smelly for me atleast. Do you guys think the same?

The print advertisements that I have seen clearly indicate that these are dealer offers. A good time to pick up a Palio if one was eyeing it.

This is not the first time Fiat has slashed prices. I remember they did it with Uno and almost instantly the Fiat management became extremely unpopular with bankers, second hand car dealers and existing customers back then.
When a car company slashes price it ruins prices in the second hand market and affects every stakeholder. Finance companies' calculations go completely haywire, the value in the hands of existing owners crashes etc.

For sure dada, at these price the second hand market is going to take a beating. I dont want to say anything more as I might incur the wrath of the 'F' gods and have a Ferrari run me over

Super offers for Fiat fans!

Mumbai Guyz,

I think this offer is not with Shaman.

Check the link for the Festive offer.

Ad - Untitled Ad

Palio Stile 1.6 Sports : Rs 3.99L
Palio 1.3 MJD: Rs 4.20L
Palio Stile 1.1: Rs 3.01L

All the prices are w/o Octroi

The offer is only till October 25th!

Its a best buy for Fiat lovers, cant beleive the 1.6 engine with 100 horses is available at 4Lacs!!! The only hatchback offerring a 1.6 in such prices!!

I had booked mine at 4.48L ex-showroom!

Cheers~

You think the company is unaware of this and the dealers are paying from their pocket or love us?

Of course, dealers cannot make this offer without the company knowing or approving.

Hi,
Yesterday I enquired with Concorde at Khairatabad, Hyderabad, from where I took my Palio SDX. I was told that they are offering 10K discount now on Palio MJD. At the same time, they claim that they are able to sell about 15 units a month. You don't see that many Palios on the road here Hyderabad.
