Wait for a while and you will see more such offers from all manufacturers. Cheapos who wouldnt even give you rubber mats in the car will have to start offering alloys and other goodies to move cars.

To be honest the dealer was very up front about the fact that the "Sports" was their doing and TATA knew about it and that it would not affect warranty and such like. They even said it was "Exclusive" to them. I wonder if other TML dealerships across the country are doing or going to do the same. What ever happens I think this could be the start of the "Make your own car" days for the Indian Auto Industry.

....wishful thinking I know.

i think for that they have to replace the rear windshield, which would be too much of a bother and push up cost too.

Tata is soon going to launch a special,limited edition variant of the Aura model.
Things which can be expected are
- A better music system
- Alloys
- Better upholstery.

Ohh, and a special Pearl White colour will also be offered. It will I think be offered at the Aura's current price only.

When, one of my friend wanted to book the Aura model and wanting for immediate delivery( there was a waiting period of 6 weeks) I spoke to Regional Product Manager(south), and he offered the same like adding the same HU and some other accessories which are available in Aura to Aqua model and would deliver within 2 days, As Aura is not available in stock and got overbooked.

Don't such customised jobs affect the quality of fit and finish? Can it really be compared to factory fit/finish? Such jobs I had seen even in V2s. Can we have the pics here to judge the quality?

It has been nearly 8 weeks since I have booked a Safire Aura and still counting. There is not even a tentative date by which I can expect the delivery. When I last spoke to TML's territory manager, news he gave was that they are right now clearing booking for month of Sep, mine is an Oct first week booking and hence he was hinting that this would be taken up only in Dec
