The rear of the car looks odd. It looks like the designer suddenly decided to stop designing the car and called it quits then and there. But, maybe, it might look odd only in pics. Waiting to see it in flesh.

Space inside looks good. Instrument cluster looks good. With those engine options, this certainly looks like a winner. Looks like long waiting period is synonymous with Maruti.

Most probably, for the Indian market, we will see the spare tyre in the area you are eyeing.

IMO looks fair.

Especially, from behind looks horrible, awkward.

Interiors are probably of European car. We might get lesser quality interiors.

Lets see, how maruti will position the car, as they have already put new Alto (A*) with a swift price.

The boot space looks a bit less than the WagonR. But still a lot better than the Swift and the highly impractical hatchback A-Star.

Ram, I had a talk on phone to a guy who came from training and asked him 2-3 times whether a zdi top end diesel varient is being launched or not.

He said-yes, it is. Is it true? and is Zxi also having steering mounted controls for audio as shown below?

pics-black car has diesel engine, green has kb-series petrol.

The car is definetly a looker with those amazing interiors ( not withstanding the rear end )

but space is surely at a premium at the rear ( like all Maruti's ) and so is the boot space but better than the Swift

Good option in the 4-5 lakhs price band

the vehicle will be launched on 15th in Mumbai and also in Delhi - MSILs new corp. office next to Emporio in VK.
this will also mark the inauguration of their brand center (i guess), which will showcase the entire MSIL line-up as well as Suzuki bikes (including Hyabusa, Intruder, GSXR-1000 et all).

@ Ritz - news is the same variants as Swift (no Zdi).
Pricing still awaited.

yes - and about the heart.
1. 1.3 Diesel - the one on Swift and Dzire
2. 1.2 KB Series Petrol that MSIL launched recently. Word is 85 bhp on tap - the A-Star motor in a 4 pod avtar

I personally think the car looks awesome. Sure the rear is odd, but it will stand out in the crowd. Any idea Ram if the rear seat will have 3 head rests as in the pictures in India

Folks- check this vid.

Suzuki Splash

I personally love the color as shown in the Video. I think it's the sunlight copper as seen on the Swift n SX4. Though I didn't understand the language - I found him quiet funny.

Sid,there is no ZDi by the info i have.ZXi will have stereo controls on the steering wheel, the blue is not exactly as shown but almost similar. Its not this dark and the pattern is a bit different. The engine bay is ditto regarding the diesel.positioning of the window washer etc are same.Dont know regarding the petrol.Sid's description of the engine and other specs are corect in his earlier posts. Some difference noted had been already pointed out.In the tope end petrol we get 3 head rests at the rear. One thing i noticed ids that of the quality of the car in sid's pictures are terrific.Maybe the one i saw was not washed or polished. The pictures are terrific -can be considered for the brochures for sure.
cheers

If suzuki launches a ZDi, Maruti has a LOT to answer to all of us who gave up on the VDi - ABS and settled for the regular VDi.
