Sounds like a standard maruti package.

Now, they need to price it right unlike the A-star

LXi/Ldi HAS AC and heater as standard, maybe from my side it was a typo but its logical that ritz will not come in non a c version!

Good Job Sid bhai. Was a long time since you broke out any scoop. BTW any information regarding prices and availability. Since the 'National engine' is already giving them supply chain nightmares, how come they can fulfill the fresh demand. Aur uper se the economy has also started picking up ,seeing the industrial output and overall feel good factor(read-stock market), toh how will they sustain such huge demands?

To me, the LXi does seem to be a li'l pricey for the space it offers. The Zxi, however, is VFM with all the features.

Maruti STILL does not have a competent response for the i10 Kappa. Sad.

Guys i had the pre launch training of ritz yesterday.Saw it in real.good one and a very odd rear design. On to what sid said i have the following to add.we have a VDi ABS option and RPM meter standard on VXi and VDi.This car has an NCAP rating of 4 .5 new colors. The brown is bakers chocolate,Red is Fire brick red,Blue is Blue blaze,Grey is glistering grey,Green is racing green,no pearl metalic artic white -its superior white the one in wagon -r and the only color which is non metalic.Rear seats ,atleast in VDi and VXi would be 60:40 split,I saw a VDI abs one in red shade. There is a seat under tray for VXI and VDI onwards on the left side.Rpm meter is standard on VXI and VDi onwards, similar to the A-Star but placed on the left side on the dash board.Displays are similar to A_Star.There is a coin plus purse holder on the dash board at the centre.one good thing i noticed is that on the left side front the platform is not flat ,rather it has an inclination so that the pasenger on the left has a comfortable seating regarding his toes. This car is spacious even at the rear.good boot space also.Lots of staorage space.
The main competition was highlighted as i20.
The price would 20-25 k more than the swift.

Great report ram!!! thanks a lot! now does that mean it can seat 3 adults in ease, i m not expecting indica vista like space but does it atleast compete with the palio stile or the i20!

It can hold 3 at the back, and good leg room also. The dash board towards the lower side has a design similar to A-Star so from leg room is also great.Space and stoarage is the theme of the car and has a 'yes i am different'attitude.Negatives can be the blinding A-pillar,polished feel plastics orround the controls of side rear view mirror and the B-pillar cladding towards the lower side which continues on to the platform area near the door. This has a tendency to attract scrathes and would look ugly in the loong run.But overall a sure shot regarding MSIL and yet another waiting period model let loose.
cheers ram

visually we get a feeling that swift is wider than ritz ,but i got a feeling that ritz has a bit more usable space inside.rest of it we feel ritz is bigger than swift.i10 is not a match for ritz.ritz is more powerfull ,much fuel efficient -petrol is 17.7 km per litre. And i would like to make a point here, the turning radius is 4.7 m for ritz and GC is 170mm.
