I would expect the K series engines to make it to all the MSIL petrol models ,having seen the A-Star.But i doubt about the engine mounting position to be different from the existing ones.In that case it would not happen in the near future.

I think it will dent the i10 sales if priced below Swift.

Lol. I got that from the leaked website link you posted. It has a huge countdown timer counting down to 15th May in hours to go before launch.

Although not in english, this video gives us a glimpse as to how the splash handles the twisties. Somewhere in the middle is when the reviewer pushes the car.

Good job sid,It looks pretty much the same, even the switches, dash, instrument cluster etc.One point is that the door pad is different.I just remembered one more point here,ZXi comes with twin tone dash. The one i saw had a lightt blue like haze for the dash along with black. Now that handles pretty well too from the video of vid.Fingers crossed.

Some news confirms that the launch is on 15th May.

Maruti to launch 'Ritz' on May 15

Article :
Quote:
NEW DELHI: India's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki on Tuesday said it will launch its new hatchback 'Ritz' May 15.

"Ritz, which will be available in petrol and diesel variants, will be India's first BS-IV compliant car," the company said in a statement, referring to the Bharat Stage IV emission norms.

The car is positioned in the premium A2 market segment, which includes its compact offerings such as Alto, WagonR, Swift, Zen and the newly-launched A-Star.

"Ritz is the eighth new model within 48 months following the launch of Swift, Zen Estilo, SX4, Swift Diesel, Grand Vitara, Swift Dzire and A-star," the company said.

Ritz will be available with two different engine options: a brand new K-series of 1.2 litre, four-cylinder, 85PS petrol engine and a 1.3 litre, 16-valve, 75PS diesel engine, the company said.

Great Pics sid!! got a complete view of the car!
BTW looking at the rear seat pic, I still doubt if it can hold 3 avg adults in relative comfort!
@ Ram does the 60-40 rear split seat comes in all the variants!
cheers!

Yes, probably. But the 1.4L will have 100 - 105 BHP power (and light-weight also), which will be enough to pull the SX4, as its current 1.6L engine is of 102BHP.

Personally, I like to see the 1.4L in Swift to replace the current 1.3L, and price it in the range 4.5L - 6L. Then, there is enough gap between A-Star and Swift for Ritz, in the price range 4L - 5L. I really don't like to see the Ritz priced above Swift.

Nice pics, sidindica! I like how the car looks from the front and in front-profile, but the side-profile and the rear of the car ruins it for me. I bet they will never show the rear or rear-profile of the car in ads.

This I like verrrry much. Perfect false-floor for stealth install of amps!
