re: Highest reading on the odometer!

Been following this thread since a long time. Finally, I get to post here. My Wagon R LXI April 2005 model, clocked 1,00,000 kilometers yesterday. Engine is very smooth, and the car never ever gave a problem in the last 7-years of ownership. Had been entirely reliable. 80% of this was done on the highways.

re: Highest reading on the odometer!

Bajaj CT100: 1,06,000 and counting. With a new cylinder kit at 1L km.

There's this ikon D in the family that has seen 1,80,000 km and still going strong-engine untouched.

It is indeed a sublime contentedness to extract the maximum out of any machine and to revere the lifetime spent with it.

re: Highest reading on the odometer!

Our Tata Indica DLS May'03 did 1,30,000 Kms before we sold it off in mid Nov'11 for Ford Fiesta TDCi. Indica didn't had any engine jobs done on it, but at speeds above 90+ it used to become very unstable and avg had reduced to 10 Kmpl.

2000 M800 EX, 5 Speed - 170k on the OD, still V strong.

2000 Alto 1.1 vxi - 120k on the OD, replaced with swift in 2007.

2010 Polo 1.2 Petrol Comfortline - 28k on the OD and Strong.

Cousin's 1999 lancer with 145k on the OD and strong.

Dude thats insane! You been driving across the entire Continent or something?

Our 7 year Scorpio just touch 1,40,000 kms. That too with no office or school runs, just Bangalore City driving and several long road trips.
