I think this thread should be viewable only to Bhpians, looking at the kilometers the Bhpians drive, Government might come up with a law to charge additional road tax from all Bhpians .

Jokes apart, some numbers in this thread are mind boggling. I stand no where close, somehow my vehicles don't stay with me for long.

My Current Rides-
Bajaj Avenger - Driven only for long rides on weekends - 16000 Kms.
Hyundai Xcent - Driven only on weekends - 8000 Kms.

8 Years and 11 months and this is what my WagonR's current Odo reads. Stock engine & like others say, at least now I can justify when I say "still going strong "

re: Highest reading on the odometer!

One of the cars used by my company for ferrying employees has done 4Lakh KMS+. It is an Indica. I will get the pictures next time I sit in it. The car has been literally rattling and shaking ever since I have known it and feels like it will fall apart any time. But it hasn't ever come to a standstill in the middle of a journey - indicating good transmission and engine but poor quality of materials.

2007 TVs star city, ready to reset odo for 'second' time.

Single owner, who uses this bike to reach all over north Kerala to help his business.

Serviced by same mechanic always, oil change typically in 2500-3000 km.

Engine rebuilt around 1.75L km.

According to the driver, the engine is yet to be overhauled.
The Shivneri buses running Pune Dadar complete 10 Lakh km before their 5th year, some have done their entire 9 Year life period 19+ lakh km without a overhaul.
As per Volvo workshop guys there is 2002 model MH-09 registered Volvo with 35 Lakh on the odo which has only one engine overhaul. The current owner Mr Shaikh from Aurangabad had purchased it secondhand from Konduskar travels Kolhapur in 2011. He had reworked the entire interior and body panels on purchase, and is fully rattle free again.

Go WagonR go!

I was close to 88k on my 10 year old WagonR when I sold it. Still miss it. Looking at your reading I can say this car has one solid engine. Oil change etc as per service instructions I am guessing. Brilliant!

re: Highest reading on the odometer!

Have a Skoda Octavia, 2005 (L&K) which has done 1.28 L kms with minor issues and nothing major.

Guess I am one of the lucky few as far as Skoda is concerned. The car did come as a CBU so that might have something to do with it.

re: Highest reading on the odometer!

Here is one car I came across while browsing. It's a 2000 Skoda Fabia with a 1.9L TDI engine (the same engine which did duty in the Octavia 1 in India), reaching 10 Lakh KM without an engine/tranny rebuild - Although it's not in India, it is still a commendable achievement I feel, and big applause to the owner who has reached this milestone - always knew that the good old 1.9 TDI engine is a reliable workhorse

The owner planned his drive to reach the 9,99,999 KM mark at the Skoda museum at Mladá Boleslav

These F Series motors are ultra reliable and long lasting- All they need is scheduled service which is mentioned in the owners manual. Not a paisa other than that!!
My friends 2005 Wagon-R had close to 3 lac kilometers on stock engine before it was sold. Even I can vouch for the fact as I too own a 2000 Model M800 with F8D engine(& 5 Speed GB), and it has done close to 2.7 lac kms without any sort of engine rebuild. Ofcourse the clutch has been overhauled twice. The engine still feels solid and returns a very high mileage.

A pic of my car

re: Highest reading on the odometer!

My college cab is a 2002 Toyota Qualis and it has done 9 lac kms. The odo has stopped working at 4.86 lac and has been pulled back when it was about to be sold long back but the driver last minute decided to keep using it.
