Checked up with the dealer in Chennai. There is a flat discount of 90k on the OTR price for the EXI, 79k off on ZXI and only 18k for the SXI and 1.6S.

These are for petrol models only.

Re: Sport or Duratorq Sxi or Duratech Sxi.

How is the Sport "better to drive" than it counterpart, the Duratec Sxi? All the 1.6 have 101 Power, so how is it better? It is just the spoiler, alloys, interiors?

^^It has a stiffer suspension than the other ones and comes with wider 15" tyres as stock.

Ps. The Swift costs same which is no where near the Fiesta in terms of Comfort, Refinement, Quality etc. Makes the pricing similar to that of the Accent.
Swift Deisel maybe, but Swift Lxi starts at 3.99 Lakhs ex showroom onwards.... Vxi 4.3 lakhs maybe. So still a lakh less.

Just came from Ford Dealer in Sec 2, NOIDA. I am taking the delivery of Fiesta 1.6 Dutatech Exi within 3-4 days.

Its costs 5.79 on road, Noida!! (5.29 Ex showroom). Even EXi is fully loaded with beige interiors!!

Dealers in hyderabad did not confirm on the phone but are aware of the price cuts. Fortune ford executives said they will get the details by evening and get back to me.

The SXI interiors are really good than the EXi though it would have been nice to have a 80K discount on the top-end variant (Wishful thinking I know).

A good offer for a good car. Hoping to see more of these beauties around. Nice discount - could be used for mods to make it look better too.

Hyderabad Fiesta fresh prices

Got a call back from Fortune Ford

1.6 Petrol Exi = 6.17L OTR
1.6 Petrol Zxi = 6.51L OTR
1.6 Petrol Sxi = 7.98L OTR

Style plus VFM is what I am feeling at this cut. Ford just took the sheen off SX4. Now I am waiting for Maruti to give us some more discount deals.

Was just wondering if these discounts have anything to do with the Financial crisis and all, with Ford Motor on the verge of bankruptcy.

I think the discounts would stay. Maybe not to the same level - but Ford will be forced to make some steep cuts in the Fiesta lineup.

And discount hunters might get an even bigger deal in Jan 09, when '08 models unsold would go for a higher discount.
