Power steering issue was addressed already by TML and the modified version is fitted in all new vehicles.

the point is , there are still issues that are surfacing. a fellow bhpian was there at a TASS when a vista owner showed up for some work. The front windscreen just fell in when he leaned against it slightly. the product might be good, but qa and build quality ......

Discounts are the only option for these car cos to up sales and rid inventory. Even the excess cash liquidity pumped into banks by the RBI is not attracting any loan customers.

Seems like there is a discount of Rs 30000/- on an average. I don't think this will be enough. Most people are staying away due to expensive loans. Cheaper loans along with discounts might help. The reason I say 'might' is because there are a good number of people who feel cars are a luxury in the current scenario.

Just curious - why can't the manufacturers temporarily slash the ex-showroom price as against offering discounts on OTR? This would have larger impact if one considers state taxes, etc.
