Looks more like a hogwash than a report:

Here is the full report.

Chevrolet tops both in the Compact and Premium Compact Segments. Nice one.

Surprisingly the swift is not amoung the top 3 , Maruti sold 9604 Swift's last month !!

I am surprised in the the SUV segment Safari is missing!!!

Please, this not a taunt, insult to respected Safari owners, nor is it an invitaiton for another Scorpio.Vs. Safari pie-fight; I am clearly puzzled and feel it should be there!!!!!

I believe someone who was part of the survey effort for JD power posted the methodology here. suffice to say , after reading it, I now know whey they arrive at the wrong results so often

Here it is. :) I guess you are reffering to this - http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...tml#post886921

Take a look at the last year's results.

In the entry mid-size segment Logan has slipped down to 3rd place .
And Tata seems to have done some miracle. I think this is the first time an Indigo is featuring in the results.:thumbs up

The results seems to be afresh, usually its always maruti. Actually i am surprised to see Chevrolet on top in list

Well, being popular does not necessarily make the car to be of better quality or vice versa.

BH.

this clears the myth that GM vehicles are not reliable. the spark and the UVA tops the list leaving behind even the marutis. even the hondas topped the midsize and premiuim midsize segment. i am not suprised to see the civic beat the corolla by a huge margin! as expected in the MUV segment, innova leads... but when compared to the tavera and sumo!
just look at the score difference between the innova and scorpio, its rival! the safari and bolero is not in the top 3. honda again tops the segment with CRV. all honda cars- city, civic and CRV tops the segment which is great achievement.

I heard that some share autos in Andhra Pradesh are using Chevy Spark. May be the 0 maintenance factor pulled them in. Well its true, Spark is the best in the small car segment, nothing beats its damn easy driving character, build quality, suspension and sound proofing. agree:

As a long-suffering owner of a GM car, I can assure you that this is not a myth, at least for many. For many years, GM cars have scored high in IQS (which is 2-3 mths of ownership). Perhaps they are manufactured with that aim in mind. But come 12 mths and the troubles start.

I know I am going little off topic but, I think opinion differs from person to person. I own Tavera and if you dont bother about the looks, what an excellent vehicle it is. I know 2 more guys who own optra and they are very happy with it.

coming to the JD report, I think there are few surprises into it. I am really surprised with safari not in the list.

yes, even i think GM has improved by miles now.
i am not really suprised that the safari is not in the list considering they have shown only the top 3, but what suprised me was that the santro is missing.
