Thanks for the list, Sidindica you are great man. The equipment list is simply superb. I wonder if FIAT will be deliver at the speculated price. But very surprised to see the version without rear power windows, sounds like cost cutting.

I was just wondering, where does the front registration plate go? Does one drill holes into the bumper, or are people expected to hang it from the grill a la "don't park in front of this gate" signs?

While the variants look good, it will all boil down to the price and how good Fiat will be in ensuring the customers about their ***. As for me, I am going for a C-segment car and the decision will now be made between Fiesta, ANHC and Linea (Petrol only).

That is funny! Unfortunate but true. Palio owners like myslef would have to get ready for 2nd grade treatment from Fiat and 3rd grade treatment from Tata (since grade 2 treatment is already available at Tata motors). Dont think Fiat will be bothered about Palio owners if and when the Linea starts performing.

@ Crackingride, see Finneyp's avtaar. Your query for the number plate would be resolved. You'll see a silver Lines with red plates between the 2 grills.

The specs are indeed good. I hope Fiat deliver on service this time around and I have a gut feeling this time they will.

Wish what you said was as easy as typing on the keyboard. I know many guys recruited at Fiat Powertrain India limited who work extensively on these engines and are studying differences between the 75 & 90 bhp engines. For starters the pistons (those are not seen from outside fyi... just in case you try open your cars bonnet and begin hunting for them to replace) are different. They claim that there are lot more differences than you think. And service intervals are not only about the engine. A car service is not just limited to the engine. What about other parts like brakes for example?

Why god save? The Linea is extensively tested in Indian conditions if your knowledge doesn't serve you right, you could read up on localization of content and quality checks followed for the Linea. Its not air lifted from anywhere and parked in the showroom if you do know something about "testing".

so indeed its true they do are going in for the mantra that diesel or petrol fiat cars are the most maintanance free vehicles available. lets wait and see . good luck to them on this venture. cheers.
Thanks for your best wishes. I wish them good luck too.
