If thats true, it would be great. The Vahaan Yatra hosted here is a joke!

That's some news. Would this be on the same scale as the 'International Auto Expo's' usually held in Delhi? If yes, then it should be fun and I can already in that case see a T-BHP meet up being posted somewhere :-) .

PS: I remember the 1994/95 Auto Expo in Delhi. I was there as part of a German Stall there and had a blast of a time there on all days. It was the time when all the biggies were planning their India moves and were there in large numbers.

wow - thats good news -

Recently went to Vahan Yatra - Hardly 10 stalls for auto - rest are for General Expo like Furnitures, paintings etc. Total waste of time and money :(

Excellent!!

I am looking forward to it. But really skeptical about the response considering the current economic conditions....

Also, when the announcement is so late [just 20 days before the event] i wonder how "big" is this really..

Isn't it a little too late to announce this.
They need a lot of time and planning for the logistics, hotel stay etc. etc.
There are also no invites out yet. I know a few people in the auto industry and they too have no information.
I am a bit skeptical about this.
The Delhi show used to advertise a year in advance and all ads hit the market 6 months prior.

I visited Winmedia Communications Site :: BIAE 2009 :: and the news is correct. They have put the logo of this expo in the left upper top corner of page. I do not know magnitude/size of expo, certainly we cannot compare with New Delhi Auto Expo, but there is something.

I doubt they have the infrastructure to handle auto expo to the level of delhi.
I am not new to Bangalore any more and haven't heard of any such place available that can handle it. or are they planning to hold it under tents

Too far off from my place, Delhi was ideal & Pragati Maidan catered nicely.
But expect it to be a damp squib due to International slowdown.
