Saw one zipping around the Karyavattam area yesterday. I think the dealerships don't care about the NDAs anymore.

Plus , no deliveries or test drives for 2008 as they want to clear up the existing stocks (like he told me that their santro stock has been sold out). They will start deliveries & proper production with the 2009 batch only.
Off topic but has anyone tried purchasing a Santro in Delhi/NCR? Even in times like these certain colours and models of the car sold out! Though i10 (Era and 1.1 Magna only) seem to have quite a bit stock unsold.

I had big expectations from the i20, but hearing the engine option right now, I am disappointed. I did not expect it to come in 1.2kappa. Anyhow lets wait till Monday to find out, if there are any surprises.

Hyundai are back to their old ways again!
Just like they launched the i10 with a santro engine and hugely overpriced it.
And made profits like crazy when rest of industry was slowing. People who dont really bother about engine specs, drivability etc fell into their trap. And to add salt to injury now they launch the i10 with an improved engine!

Well looks like Hyundai is trying to repeat history. They are launching i20 with and i10 engine and for all you a year down the like they might bring in some theta, gamma or alpha engine that is 1.3 litre and 100 bhp and more fuel efficient than the santro engine

Have you driven one or is this an assumption?? Reason I ask is because I happen to own a 1.1 i10 and think that the driveability is actually very good. Sure it might run out of breath at high speeds but for low to medium speed work the engine & the gearbox combination is great.

Auto A/C, Mirror Retract, Steering Controls, Ipod, USB , Integrated HU, Trip Meter, Cooled Glovebox.
Damn, thats some list they've got.
Gotta be a hit if they price it properly and give good engine options.

the steering looks damn good. It's one of the best i've seen in the segment! The plastics seem to be good, the dials could have been better while the center console isn't bad either!
