Excellent scoop. Fantastic interiors. Liked the position of the tweeters along side the door latch. Extremely feature rich and probably the last nail in the Fabia coffin.

i20 looks good & feature-rich, but the crucial thing is pricing!

Getz was nice hatch too, but was overpriced and it flopped in the market.
Hope Hyundai doesn't repeat that bunder again.

WOW!! It has almost all the things that we can expect from a hatch, very bold move to offer all the things in single shot ( and look at AHC , all new BUT with lots of things missing)

But...

Pricing .... the all time hyundai weak point..

At least make it correct this time

Definitely in a class of its own, we will need to hold our horses till the pricing is announced today. All these goodies will come at a price, the question is how much ?

I was not expecting such features in i20. i think u were right. Here engine vs goodies. Goodies rules now over engine.

Only thing left is PRICE which will make it a hot selling car or a flop show.

If priced right, it will be the best selling hatchback.

Hyundai bring verna crdi engine in this baby and i will pay 7 lakh for it.

I am more impressed by the scoops of sidindica rather than this car.

Looks like a i10 on steroids. There are similarities in headlamp and grille between earlier Honda Jazz. The headlamp and grille look as if they are from earlier Jazz. Bad thing.

Space looks good and the rear seat looks like it is 60:40.
Interior quality looks average.

Overall looks are average and nothing earth shattering about this car. Will sell because of marketing from Hyundai and may be King Khan.

Did not like. I was expecting more and not a copied design again.

EDIT : The reason behind the 1197cc motor is to get included in tax concession. Suzuki is also planning 1.2 Swift for tax concession reasons. So i20 can have more features. Pricing is the key.
What is the kerb weight of the car ?

I think there should be atleast 1.4 engine.

i20 crdi you can expect sometime in 2009! It is surely going to be there.

As far as I am concerned, I am more of a petrol man. My monthly commute is not that much to warrant going for Diesel. I am happy that Hyundai (unlike some other manufacturers - read Honda, Skoda etc) is offering most of the features to us also (think of side curtain airbags! which other under-15 lakh car got that?) I can pay upto 6.5 OTR (delhi) for i20 Asta (without optional side curtain airbags).

Infact, I was very close to uncovering the i20 website when I stumbled upon www.hyundai.co.in/hyundaii20

BTW, the car rocks! I always wanted electric retracting ORVM's in a small car!

wow...now thts what i call super loaded. only car that comes close is a Fabia. But i guess Hyundai being the small segment kings will know how to price this one.

only criticism : the two tone is a good idea, but the colors of the two tone are absolutely passable, they should have done the beige as on the i10. the purple or whatever the color is looks bad, but all in all a super feature packed vehicle.

this is what i call is setting the cat amongst the pigeons, lets see what the GP has to offer now.

it just gets better for us customers.

cheers,
AC

i20 in the subject please

Many people would try to search for i20 in the title. Team-bhp site does not allow search for "20" as it is less than 3 characters. And it does not allow search for "i-20", saying that there is no match.

I'm really happy with the specs of i20. I will wait for the CRDi engine though, as I'm no more in a hurry (thanks to the delays by Fiat on Linea launch).

Wow! Amazing capture.
The features list is exhaustive - just wish that Hyundai gets the pricing right.
