I was imagining what a LPG kit could do to a car like NANO that gives a petrol mileage of 22+ per litre of petrol.. (say550kms+- per cylinder or Rs 0.6/km)

I move around with my pulsar that gives me mileage of 60kms/litre or Rs 0.68/km so equating it with a bike i would say who the hell needs a bike..
of course that how I think...

If it comes in a diesel then there is no match for the Nano. Sure sucess
Diesel engines arnt nessesarily the best option always, the overall expenditure depends upon a lot of things and unless you are doing high milage overall diesels are costly because of the initial costs and upkeep!

Put 5 ppl and ac on in the m800 and remove one cylinder.

Any comparison for Nano should be done with, something new vehicle we get for that price. So only qualifying passenger vehicle is Bajaj Auto.

If people are comparing with 2nd hand Maruti 800 with Nano,
New M800 or Alto's should be compared with the features and comfort of Accent or Ikon, and new buyers of C segment with .... Phew! that is endless story.

Cheers, Best Wishes Nano, Fire all the cylinders in Gujarat plant and deliver world class product & conquer the hearts of this recession hit world.

One of the TV channels was having an interview with Dilip Chabbria and there was a mention of a Special edition Nano which is going to be launched. Keyless entry, body graphics, and alloy-wheel-like-steel-rims were on offer. DC was talking of some kind of screen display in the car. Not sure if its DC specific or has TATA chosen DC to design this special edition car.

Why talk about cylinders? Compare power and torque. 600kg Nano gives 35bhp and 665 kg M800 is 37bhp. Go figure!
