Nano Bookings

Economictimes is reporting that Tata Dealers alone has sold more than 51,000 forms for Nano in the first 3 days. Does anyone know how many actual bookings have been done for Nano till now?

On road prices for the Nano in bangalore:-
Standard( non-metallic): Rs 155997
cx( non-metallic):Rs 185116
cx(metallic):Rs 188609
lx(metallic only):Rs 212194

Pretty expensive i must say still about 50 grand cheaper than the 800.What do you all think?

The LX in Kolkata is 2.10 lakhs, I was told at the showroom, I personelly don't think the car is VFM at 2.10 Lakhs, for that price I can get much more powerfull cars in the second hand car market in good condition.

The OTR prices are way off the mark from the 1lakh price tag that was associated with the car. If the LX was priced ar about 1.5-1.6 Lakhs OTR then it sure would be VFM.

I dont think at 1.6 OTR Bangalore, Nano is going to replace a big percentage of bikers.
Although, I would love to see those noisy cockroaches(read auto) being replaced by Nanos.

I heard that a lot of Auto drivers in Hyderabad are considering replacing Auto's with Nano's given that Nano costs the same as a Bajaj Auto and has more revenue potential.

For Any automobile, Bangalore is the costliest place to buy.

Nano has its unique advantages over 800. so no comparison with that.

Instead of buying 800 another 50+ one can go for Alto.

Yes, every car segment can be argued with next level 2nd hand car

Any idea what's the running cost for an auto?

There is a chance that we may have a completely new level of public transport option available to us.

Seems to be a difficult question since it is heard that they generally run on a Petrol - Kerosene mixture!
