It sure looks bigger than what I expected. In the video you can see 3 people fitting on the back seat. The car makes a lot of sense for city driving and specially for places like mumbai where people fight for parking space.

Though I have a Swift Vdi I might buy the Nano only thing is I hate the lottery system and if thats the case I might wait.

Oh in the Video the rear looks like its an Indica V2. Good luck to Tata Nano.

Booking starts on 4th or 5th March

Hi Guys,

The booking for Nano will start on the 4th or 5th March.

Rs 25,000 will be the booking amount and an EMI of approx. Rs 1600 for a period of 7 years.

The bookings will done through State Bank of India, not all branches will be involved, only selected ones.

For example, in Delhi the booking of Nano will be done only in Chandni Chowk branch.

The first of the Nanos would be gifted to the President, followed by Prime Minister, followed by Sonia Gandhi, Dhoni Ji and Sania Mirza, this would happen on the 4th of this month.

And now I'm losing track - so many new threads about Nano. Can't we just limit it to one thread.

Mostly, it is a soft launch. At the most, they might have a few dozen cars to be given to politicians, celebs, etc...

The most interesting aspect of this launch will be the pricing, since we have already seen the car.

Nothing beats cheap publicity. A shame the peoples car is being handed out to people who can afford much more when the car was intended for people with limited funds who wanted to become car owners.

Two finger salute to the Mamta gang as well from the Tatas. They will not be held to ransom by petty politicians.
