Sadly, with it's relatively puny engine(s) the Linea would be slightly breathless running on its 90bHp, 1368cc Diesel engine or the rumoured 95bHp, 16v, 1368cc twin-cam Petrol engine that actually does duty in the Grande Punto. With these engines I doubt the Linea will be able to blaze away against the competition.

Sigh! what did we do wrong to not deserve the 120 bHp, 16v, 1368cc turbocharged engine from their new T-JET family known as 1.4 16 V T-Jet. Given Linea's size, even the 150 bHp engine that does duty on some variants of the FIAT Bravo would have been an awesome option.

FIAT Linea prices revealed

Autocar India claim to have the specs and prices of the FIAT Linea. Click here to find out more.

Let's hope this time around FIAT India stick by their proposed launch date and hope Autocar India have got their information spot-on.

Rs. 8.36 lacs (ex-showroom, Mumbai) for the Diesel Emotion Pack variant seems quite reasonable for a feature packed Linea and Rs.7.82 lacs (ex-showroom, Mumbai) for the Petrol Linea also seems reasonable except that personally I will always feel shortchanged by FIAT India for not giving us the 120 bHp, 16v, 1368cc turbocharged engine from their new T-JET family known as 1.4 16 V T-Jet.

Nice scoop. I sincerely hope FIAT gets it right this time with the Linea. This car has the potential to transform FIAT's image in India, if handled with care. I had the chance to see this car in person at the New Delhi Auto Show and found it to be adequate.

Linea is here, but i Drove it First.

Okay this is Going to be not just a revelation but it's going to be a Mini-series about buying cars and my experience with selling the same and I was fortunate enough to Drive these babies First and experience them first hand. And How I left my Job. But Now I will just settle with some pictures of My Mumbai Training For the Linea. If this is in the Wrong thread please Move this Mods, As I am unsure of where to post it.

And I am really sorry that I Couldn't Provide these Infos and Photos As i was working for Fiat then , All this happened during the JBL Autocar Motorshow in Mumbai, But it i Missed it big time. And It was the same time when evet one was going Gaga in the Linea Thread (The Second one to be closed , or was it the Third) And Speedzak my Ally And Faithfull Informant of Teambhp was passing on the information that I smsed to him from the Training Class.

See it here

Poor old Zak was Trying so hard to cover my butt(Hide My Identity), but now it's okay I can Come out in the Wild and announce that, I Love Fiat but I will never buy one.

No idea about FIAT, but I believe some corporates do have IP clauses barring ex-employees from divulging confidential information. Hope you don't get into trouble.
Nice snaps though !

Seems like you're last job left a bitter ending hence the such a harsh statement. But it's best not to discuss such things here, however what we would like to have is a test drive report on how the car performs.

Thanks for sharing all the previous info and these pics, an indept TD report would be great at this point if possible.

And maybe you could have avoided posting pics of yourself along with the Linea.. if I assume that the guy standing next to these beauties is you

Buddy the series is going to keep most of us on the edges, so think quickly for everyones benefit on how the series can roll in and how soon

As a FIAT fan, I hope the statement was not related to the cars they make or sell

Boss,

please re-read the terms of your employment. Some companies won't take too kindly. Chill maadi!

I don't think anyone at Fiat cares, If they did they would have had better dealerships to sell this car from and to tell you guys the truth there is no confidentially clause in any of the papers that i signed while i was there in Fiat, And the terms of employment ? You guys don't want to know.

The What I Said above I shall hold on to it, maybe with a little correction

I Love Fiat, But I'll never buy one in India as long as it's being sold/serviced through Tata.
