Team-BHP New Car Launch of the Year 2008

The time has come to pick our favourite new car launch of 2008. Pick the car you think will have the biggest impact on the car market or a car that has really made you sit up and take notice. Unlike some other polls the team-bhp polls are completely democratic and transparent and choices will be made without any "pressure". The poll will close 30 days from now. Last year's winner was the SX-4.

Cheers.

Launch of 2008.
Mods please Edit title.

I'd go for Honda City
Amazing Styling. Amazing Engine, Better than the NHC. Better safety. Better Equipped.

For the interiors, engine and VFM it's got to be the ANHC all the way.

For taking a bold step in the direction of small luxury cars. FIAT 500, they have now come out with the sports variant and hope they keep adding to make to package more VFM.

New Audi A4 is my choice although I absolutely adore the ANHC.

I wonder how 'Fiat Linea' makes it to the list. Was it launched in 2008? If not can we include 'Honda Jazz' in the list, which is also planned for 2009?

To me its A-star. First of all, a lot of work from Maruti Engineers, new engine that weights 47kg dry ( IIRC ). Better top end than bottom end like the original zen!
To me this car is new ZEN.
Reasons are listed :
1) Top end centric motor, just like original zen.
2) Cramped rear seats, just like original zen.
3) Cramped boot space, just like original zen.
4) Good handling.
5) Good ride quality.
6) Good FE.

Fiat Linea in the list is 'Joke of the Poll' . Votes polled by Linea are 'ghost votes', since it didn't exist in 2008.

Another glaring error is Honda Civic Hybrid is missing. Civic Hybrid is India’s First Hybrid car

voted for Linea - had to choose between City & Linea.
I must say Diabloo is right - Linea shouldn't be on this list since its still not launched.

It did make the biggest impact for ME and the Linea made me sit up and take notice! We have a TBHPian who have booked the car already in the year 2008 (31st Dec 2008)! The car launch was delayed for an unfortunate reason which is already known!

And also be reminded of the title for this thread "Team-BHP New Car Launch of the Year 2009".

Voted for the FIAT LINEA coz I was eagerly awaiting the car's launch, which will decide FIAT's future in India.

The features and pricing haven't dissapointed. What remains to be seen is the A.S.S .

FYI, COTY 2009 is given to cars officially launched in 2008. Linea was not launched in 2008. Fiat has neither announced the price nor confirmed the specs. If TBHP wants to be different, then I have nothing to say.

Then why cars launched in 2008 find themselves in the poll?
