Looks certainly better from existing one but never will be able to justify the price tag it demands.

It clearly looks the Accent replacement which it actally is and should be priced that way only.

You are spot on bro! I have seen Verna D thrash Skoda Lauras, Civics and Corollas hopelessly--- in acceleration and in top speed. But looks? It is one of the ugliest looking car on this planet. Couldn't they come up with a better shape? And yes, I wonder how it stacks up against Optra Magnum Diesel.

Highway? Dude this car will trample everything on its way on any kind of road. Who cares what it looks like? You can give me just the engine and a seat placed over 4 wheels and I will buy this car again on any day of the week and twice on sundays. The interiors on the top end are actually quite nice and personally I feel far more inspiring then the i20 which I didnt find very special. The only thing they need to do is improve the suspension and perhaps add airbags to it and/or make abs mandatory on all the versions.

Some more images of the facelifted Accent from Malaysia

Hey guys

Here are some more images of the new Verna/Accent in Malaysia. Looks quite nice actually, with the exhaust pipes integrated in the rear bumper. I even saw one image with the side mirrors having integrated indicators but I can't find that image somehow. Anyway enjoy these images:

1st 3 are general images of the car, then in order:

1. Sporty easy to read cluster
2. Grip and coat handle
3. Drinks holder
4. Bottle and magazine holder
5. Rear seatback pockets
6. Map lamp and sunglass holder
7. Lighted glove box
8. Storage space below steering
9. Efficient air conditioning system
10. Vanity mirrors
11. Adjustable seats

Got the images from here:

Warm regards,
Venkat

I went for a TD today to a Hyundai Dealer as i am interested in Verna CRDI SX ABS.
But, i was surprised to know that he is already out of stock with the current Verna, and confirmed that a facelifted version is coming by middle of February.
Just cant wait to lay my hands on the new rocket.

I have a confirmed news about launch of Verna with AT alongwith facelift in the next month though, it may as well spill in March in worse case scenario but its definitely coming. Service engineers & sales staff training is going on. Got it from someone who is back from there.

Change is too minute, though the front is looking more bulky & European, but doesn't go too well with the overall silhouette.
Climate control should have been offered.

Hello..

I have seen the current Verna and took a TD of the petrol variant...

I think it was very nice.. I liked the interiors too..

Can I compare it with the SX4 and Linea??? or is it not worth to discuss the Petrol Verna at all???

Can I compare the Diesel variant to the new Fiesta??..

Your comments and expert opinion will help me decide my new car..

As of now i am all set for the SX4 as it fits my budget and I am ok with what it offers..

Please help

By current version I hope you mean the one that is presently on the roads. Someone ont his thread mentioned that the present generation verna is not being sold anymore? I'm not sure about that. Coming to the point though, the petrol verna is a big disappointment. The diesel is the way to go, though the top end is a tad expensive, but if you have the budget for it then that shouldnt put you off. Sx4 is a decent car, but personally I just think it looks big outside and is very cramped inside. FE is not all that great, but maintenance at maruti is always cheap. A fair bit has been said about hthe linea. You should check that out as well. If you can wait sometime you can see how the new verna turns out, and see what the starting price for that will be and then you can decide between the linea or the verna. Fiesta only if you go for the 1.6s.
