I'm just hoping this becomes an excuse to stay home
I'm gonna claim that My car has no gas, and lets see how long the company's gonna get diesel for the buses. Hope this lasts long, and is effective on everybody

PS: noticed how well folks were driving today. Everybody's best mileage driving i guess

All the regular bunks were closed. The one opposite passport office in viveknagar, the 2 on St. Marks road as well as Nagpal's on resdiency.

Finally went to shell. The bunk is manned by traffic cops who were diverting cars to a line. I decided to join in but didn't after seeing that the line went till the cubbon park traffic signal.

Will try my luck tomo morning on way to work.

I wish I watched tv more often or seen this thread earlier, cause all i got when I went to refuell was just 300 bucks worth of diesel and petrol was out of the question as all the 5 pumps in my vicinity had run out of it.

Bangalore:
Between Indiranagar/Airport Road and MG Road, I found only the pump at the Brigade road - Residency road crossing had stocks/was operative. The people manning the pump anticipated stocks to run out by morning (if that is anything to go by). There weren't too many cars after me. So it might hold out till early morning.

Returned from there at 2 after 1.5 hrs of queuing. It is managed by cops; so its kinda smooth. They had separate queues for petrol and diesel.

Should do anything between 80-100 km, depending upon your driving style.

oil tankers are bullish. There is no reason why they should join the strike.

Wish someday we get separate connection for petrol/diesel to each home like how we get water.

In hyderabad, the situation is worse. In Jubilee hills, next to pride honda the bunk is closed. In Madhapur petrol pump, there is a long queue ( From the pump till Madhapur Police station ). At jubilee hills check post, as every time it happens whenever fuel shortage is there, its a very very long queue. I had around 10 L in my indica, but thought will not use car for now. I am using our great public transportation ( City bus) from the past 4 days. If things are not going to settle by monday, i was considering to buy a cycle on monday itself. Lets see what happens.

Akshay,

you go man. Just be sure to tank up when you reach Narkanda I am sure the pumps there would have little demand - they anyways serve >50% non local demand from tourists, so good chance that your bike atleast should be okay!

Mumbai is slowly getting affected. They are rationing fuel at some IOC bunks. Didn't allow to purchase more than 100 Rs. for bikes and 500 for cars :(

The truck strike and the OIL strike are not related.
The OIL strike is due to the officers of IOC going on strike.

Consumables and OIL tankers will be allowed to move around.
You will get petrol in all HP bunks as HP is not a part of the officers strike.

I was able to fill petrol in BP today (Near Sagar Apollo)

HP too has joined the bandwagon. I was relaxed till yesterday as I knew that HP is not part of the strike. However, they too are on strike.

I dont see any pump operating today from Cosmos to Old madras road. 2 HPs, 1 IOC all closed. On the other hand, there is hell of queue making a big mess of traffic jams in front of both the Shell pumps.
