Bangalore South - from Banashankari III Stage to HSR Layout, only two petrol bunks have fuel. But unimaginably long and chaotic rush. I passed 7 petrol bunks apart from these two with no fuel stock. Everybody had closed the bunk and put no stock board.

I had to drive my UV-A with reserve for 15 kms.

most of it is hyped up even more by panic buying.
Then it leads to more confusion and chaos.
I too had to do my regular tank up today and had to wait for 30mins to get fuel, luckily could watch some movie and wait
felt sorry for the two wheelers, they were sufering more.

No firing on me please.

I think govt should ban all petrol/diesels with more than 100 bhp and impose a minimum mileage requirement as 25+ km/ltr in standard driving conditions. This can make things a lot better.

Hey.. I am not smoking anything

you should start smoking in that case - maybe a mix of diesel and petrol fumes

jokes apart - i heard from my brother that in Hyderabad, the number of autos on the road has also dwindled..if this continues, we all might as well stay indoors and watch the Satyam story unfold.

Saw this thread and realized why I saw crowded petrol stations throughout the city today ! I had no clue about the situation, came back close to the house and found 4 stations with 'no stock' board. Both my carriers are on reserve and I might sit and watch satyam mega story from tomorow as narayan mentioned above !

Kochi (City) Update.

Many pumps in Kochi are running dry now. Except for the Civil Supplies Bunk near Atlantis all bunks along MG Road are dry. I just managed to tank up to the brim from the Civil Supplies Bunk.
I also got my RHS tail-lamp busted by a 'rick hustling itself up the queue Not to mention a senior citizen scraping my door with his M800, again trying jockey himself to the front of the queue. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr...

The Pump in Lissy Jn. (near the North Bridge), and the pump just before the bridge (towards Kacheripady) are still dispensing fuel.

Was talking to kumar HV over phone regarding no stocks. He was suggesting, most of the bunks are hoarding the stocks and artificially creating scarcity. What if the Centre announced much awaited cut in fuel prices. Guess what happens to all stocks they are hoarding. They have to sell at less than holding cost.

Wish it becomes reality.

This is exactly why I think they are not creating any artificial scarcity here.

The govt might announce price cuts any time now. Once the poll dates are out, they cant do a thing here!
