Honda to launch A-segment car

Honda is planning to launch a A-segment car. This seems interesting and will give a TUFF time to the competition.
Honda-tif - the car looks good.

Source: vicky autoblog
Honda which recently pulled off Formula one championship and announced cancellation of its NSX project on account of global meltdown, says there is no change in proposed plan for the Indian market. Honda has confirmed the launch of its new “A” segment small car in India. The new A-segment which Honda will produce in its Rajasthan plant will be positioned below the Jazz - Honda’s upcoming model. Honda’s new A-segement car will be in the likes of Suzuki Alto (A-star) and Hyundai i10. Honda will produce the new small car with minimal reliance of imported raw materials. Honda’s Indian small car will hit the market by 2011.

That grill is so identical to the ANHC that I am beginning to doubt that it's a real pic.

the glass area from the side looks influenced from a-star, rear looks a little bit like splash. expecting a little premium pricing compared to other cars in this segment.

I am almost sure that it is a A-Star photoshopped with parts from ANHC.

A photoshopped image and nothing more.

And I am sure they are not coming in A-segment. They wont go below Rs. 4 lakh to remain premium car maker to overprice and under equip their cars for India.

The profile and glass area say it all.
In fact I think that if Honda came out with A-star with same engine, then it would have received many awards.
This is a joke and I think this thread must be locked.

You are sure about this?

I think the car in the photo resembles Toyota Aygo.

If this photo is a fake, then I appreciate the photoediting work. Do more of this plzz

The car is called TIF ? What a coincidence that it happens to be a palindrome for the FIT

Nice PS job. Guess not much creativity was needed there.

1) The car is too cab forward for Aygo.
2) The external RVM are different and from other cars, but not Aygo.
3) The rear looks typically from Suzuki or may be Honda, but not aygo.

i am now seriously inclined to doubt vicky and his blogging. half of what he writes about the future does not make any sense. honda might or might not launch an a-seg car. thats not the question. but when honda doesnt have any mid size hatch offering and the jazz surely is coming, where in the world will they attempt to launch yet another smaller one and screw up jazz's party?
