I've seen this in the US. Suprising place to see a small hatch here. Looks pretty cool. I first thought it was a Matiz->Spark gone wrong Then I realized its a Beat. I saw a nice yellow one. Am surely looking forward to its launch.

I see Maruti and Hyundai's share diminishing with the launch of cars like Chevy Beat, Ford Figo and VW Polo. Man, the center console of Beat is really good. I think the interiors of Beat, will sure make ur heart Beat faster.

Saw the same one on the Bannerghatta road. Took some pics with my camera as I was returning from a trip to Kabini and was within reach. Will upload the same soon. Has better clarity though I could not take very good shots as I was in heavy traffic.

Saw a Chevy test mule on way to Lonavla

Stopping for breakfast at the Food Plaza on my way to Lonavla, came across this Chevy test mule ( not sure but might be the new Spark) and managed a few snaps with my cell. Am attaching here

Seen these pre prod units running around undisguised in Pune almost every day. Had seen one parked but with driver inside, who wont let me take any pics. Interiors look neat, rear door handles bit awkward (near C pillar). The car has good presence esp when viewed from the front.

Nope, those alloys don't belong to the spark. I guess they are probably R14 Spec which they have in the Beat.

Spotted the Beat last night while driving, posting a couple of pictures taken from my cell in poor lighting.
The car looked stunning, very muscular.
The front reminds me of the i10 and the rear a bit of the Ritz.
Chevy India looks like has adopted a new marketing strategy to run their cars all over India with just their badges covered up and create hype.

One cannot call this car a clean, neat and proportionate looking car. It comes across as a eccentric looking car to me. . But, its got its own character and appeal. I think this is one car where interiors would be one of its USP.
