Looks like this is the first time you came back empty handed. Thanks for the headsup though.

WOW! The new 7 Series is just so good looking, the bangled previous gen was in dire need of a replacement and BMW India has wasted no time. The new 7 is just so clean, proportionate & timeless in pictures....I can only imagine how it looks on Indian roads. BMW will pull all cards to emulate the success of the S-Class.

I think they are not going to assemble the 7 like they do assemble the 3 series. It would be a CBU, but BMW can prove me wrong.
The new 7 series is good, no doubt, but overall it lacks the presence the present design Audis or Mercs have. This is just what I observed.

What remains to be seen how is Merc going to react. Their S-class is yet to get more engine options in India.

The rear is also very good of the new 7 series coded F01. The front is lot more aggressive, and looks very mean! a proper beast it is now.

i liked the old-gen 7 much more...the new one has lost all the aggression Beemers are known for..the grille is too big..and the lines have softened..this is an audi not a beemer..sad..bangle rocked!!

But I wonder why the secrecy? The new 7 has been in the foreign markets for some time, and various Indian magazines have already published the pics and driving reports of it.

For some reason i like the looks of the current 7 series over the new one. The current version has that mean, aggressive look to it.

The old 7 series was I think a better looking car.As someone pointed out the grill is too big. Also the famous or infamous bangle butt was better then this new models rather shapeless lines.

Can't say I like the look of the new 7 series, and yes, +1 to the "grille is too big" thought!

It is being launched in Bombay on the 31st.
I for one also like the old one, like the older E class(W211) actually better than the yet to arrive (W212)
If one sees carefully, the lines o fthe new 7 series are very similar to the older one. I find them quite similar. This one does away with a lot of gimmicky stuff like the electronic gear shift lever (cheekily also adapted by the S Class)
