@ redliner: hey buddy, you got me wrong. i dint meant that scorpio has the right image because its a gas guzzler or reva lacks it because it electric powered.
IMO, the scorpio has a good image because of its butch appeal & styling, nothing to do it what it drinks. if mahindra makes a electric scorpio or launches its hybrid scorpio which has already undergone road tests (not the crappy micro-hybrid pls!), i will be more than happy to buy it... of course, if its within my budget.

No hard feelings dude. It just sounded like some of the half baked things we all end up doing with the perspective of saving the environment. Its almost become a fashion statement. Thats why I really have a lot of respect for people who buy and drive the Reva.

That said, I am shameless. A shameless, cheap fellow. Which is why I buy Scorpio.

@ redliner: thats fine buddy. even i respect a lot of people who invest money in revas & hybrids. but the reva is just not for me. i am 6'1" tall, how will i drive that car? where will my family sit? all i can practically do is service my car regularly, fill at good reputed fuel pumps & check my car's PUC levels.
on the other hand, even i am shameless. i do not switch off my car at signals, to keep the AC working. i rev my car hard, to feel the power. i love polluting harleys. i love diesels more than petrols!
anyways, we are going off topic...

People one thing i would like to say about the BSIV option in the scorpio. The fuel available at the pumps across the country is not actually of the grade required to reduce emissions to BSIV norms. so actually you would be paying 10G's more and actually not helping the environment much.

The last row front facing is meant for kids only, and is bumpy.

The Brakes (with ABS) are excellent, I have come to a dead stop from nearly 120 without any issues.
Thank you for the answers. I had these questions for a long time, people were not giving good opinions on this, especially on brakes.
I will be taking TD this weekend. (Dealer said they would call me last week, but didn't, I have decided to go directly).
I have one more questions. As advertisements shows, Does ABS work only on curves/turnings are every time when the brakes applied?
Thanks

Everytime it senses a wheel lock up (panic braking) not everytime the brakes are pressed. Using the brakes when slowing down dosent get the ABS working.

Hello,

I have spotted a 4wd version of the facelifted Scorpio a couple of times recently (latest being today) in Borivali, on WE highway. It is a silver coloured vehicle with grey (non body colour) bumpers and has MH 15 temporary registration number. Today the vehicle had some packages on the rear seat, with R-xxx (some numbers) written on them. Only the bonnet of the car is covered with cloth. There is mHawk badge on the tailgate door. Unfortunately I did not have camera both the times.

goos to hear that. maybe mahindra is testing the 4WD scorpio with the mHawk engine. all mahindra test vehicles usually have MH-15 registration.
so we can expect a 4wd mHawk pretty soon i think.
wish i had waited a bit longer with my mHawk.

MHawk 4WD is already out dude...I am seriously contemplating upping my reserve price by another lakh and going for it...BUT...I am wondering if I am really going to do that Himalayan odyssey every year to warrant a 4wd on my basic daily car.

With the demonstrated (in)ability of our municipal corporations at road maintenence it won't be long before you'll need that 4WD on your daily commute!

For me it is 7 seater 2+3+2 is the best as the space is well adjusted.
