@aggo... I am used to sensationalism stories from that blog. I dont think Mahindra is going to phase out the Scorpio.... its ridiculous to even think on those lines. After seeing the upgrade picture in the autocarindia website, I am sure this is the all new scorpio that vicky is talking about.

IMHO, the front end treatment of the new Scorpio is a way better interpretation of the "diaper ornamentation" theme on M&M's family grille.

And, from the Autocar pics, it seems that they have no upgraded those ugly alloys.

looks neat IMO projectors omg!! go mahindra and looks like they finally gettin the electric ovrm's

personally i feel paying almost 11-12 lakhs for a vehicle which is very similar to a one you get for 6-7 is a rip off for the customer atleast..
good that mahindra did this move..
they have positioned scorpio as its flagship model now

I agree with Salil here. It certainly looks better. My wish though, I want the XYLO alloy's on Scorpio. They are nice!

I think they have made a positive change. Only the silver tooth seems to be out of place else overall the Geometry makes sense.

Mahindra seems to be running hard and fast to gather sales on the fresh appeal.

Three critical requirements which I hope they will address on the "new" Scorpio -
  • A variant with ABS & Airbags
  • Improved middle row space (and not by pushing the middle row back) & ride comfort
  • A 4x4 variant that is available within a reasonable 2 to 3 week time frame & NOT 2 to 3 months!
Oh & yes - all the interior "goodies" of the Xylo.

Hi, Changes except the grill look cool, has any one got the pics of the rear, I would like to see if they are doing any changes there.

Overall the changes seem to be cosmetic only, no changes in the body & styling.

SCOOP: NEW SCORPIO (Faelift)

Mahindra is all set to launch a face-lifted version of the Scorpio in the near future. As can be seen in these scoop pictures sent by a Autocar India reader, the changes to the new Scorpio are largely cosmetic. The new grille sports a central 'silver tooth' a new design element that's present on the Xylo and Bolero as well.

The headlights are all new and the 'projector' lenses look terrific. The bumper too is all new and incorporates larger fog lights. The rear lights as well have been redesigned and we hear that there are changes to the interiors as well.

The new Scorpio will only be available with the mHawk engine and the 2.6 CRDe motor will be discontinued.

Looks like the Scorpio got bitten by Xylo's rabbit teeth.
If this is called "facelifting" i would like to give their designer a facelift.

You took words out of my mouth. That naked door hinge is by far the most irritating thing I have seen by any Indian vendor in any car. I mean' c'mon guys, that thing is 1940ish !!! What rocket science or cost is needed to make a Goddamn better hinge. Disgrace comes close to describing it.
