Why dont M&M sells these in India.

These scorpio's look so different than the ones sold here. Infact better looking than the Indian counterparts.

After the Bolero, now the Scorpio gets the DIAPER front grill treatment.

Wow, can't wait if this is the one they are launching in India. I sold the new 2.6 and bought the Civic, I will sell the civic and buy Scorpi again anytime. I do miss it until date. Just nice broad tyres with alloys will make this look a beast on the road. I like the tint.

I like the 'New' Scorpio though typically overdone in Mahindra style.
The head lights look awesome - they are without doubt the highlight of the re-design. Front bumper looks better than the ones currently available. But the panel gap between the bumper and the headlights is yawning. Its a pity Mahindra chose to ignore the rear. Only the barrel tail lights without the towering reflectors would have been better.
The two scorpios in that one snap - wow.

from behind not much difference.. only diff is the front and some interior change.
they will make it another 50-60K more than the present price and try to create more customers for xylo :-)
they have taken the xylo tag line literally... make the scorpio outgrow and out of reach ;-)

Looks nice to me. The front grill of the old Scorp was a tad better, but this new one aint all that bad--the one on the Xylo takes the cake on bad looks.
Interior looks nice too---though I am not sure how different it is from the current model. Can someone educate me on what that knob on the gear console that reads as '2H' '4H' '4L' means?

That's the 4WD selector switch. Its actually 2H, 4H & 4L - 2 High (Normal 4x2), 4 High (4x4 engaged, high ratio), 4 Low (4x4 engaged, low ratio)

Thanks. So for normal city driving one would use 2H, and 4L for off-roading, and 4H for off-roading on very steep gradients?

2H for normal city driving.
4H for moderate off-roading & reasonable gradients, including driving on snow/ice
4L for sand, mud, slush, water crossings & other extreme terrains including very steep gradients

Above are ball-park, depends on conditions (you could use 4H for sand & mud) & I wouldn't like to spark off a debate here

Shouldn't this be in another section? Does getting onto a truck bed constitute off-roading?

The interiors finish looks better then what they sell here , Is it just the typical Export Quality mentality of Indian manufacturers or they are going to improve the interiors in Scorpio being sold here as well ?

The Achilles heel of Indian manufacturers in export market is service and spare availability , Read the blogs of owners who burnt hands purchasing Indian vehicles in Australian and European markets once initial launch period is over they hunt for spares like our Jeep enthusiasts do here.

If this is a petrol engine which is not being mass produced and sold in home market how on earth they will make sure that spares are available for life of the product ?
