seating made more lower

???
For the front / back seats ?
Does that affect the under-thigh support ?

So they have rationalised the variants

Micro hybrid is the terminology used my Bosch and Mahindra of their stop/start system.
This system cuts off the engine after a few seconds if it realises that the engine is idling(like in a traffic signal).you can start the engine again by just pressing on the accelerator.

Any upgrades apart from the headlamps & the Safari fog-lamps? Is there a 4x4 version readily available, are they giving AIRBAGS? How about Middle row space (not by pushing back the middle row)?

safari fog-lamps?????

i think interiors are the same, so is the middle row space as they have not changed the body or wheelbase.

I am always being nervous to stop the engine in signals, and start it after seeing Green (In Coimbatore almost there is no Amber anywhere), I believe this is because of the years of bike ride (from the old scooter/kick start days), where we have no assurance, that will start at the first kick.
Can't tolerate if the car/bike doesn't start because of the intolerant followers blowing horn.

Many do not stop engines, because of this reason. Not sure if this Micro hybrid is reliable.

Also in cities like Bangalore, we need to wait more in Traffic than in traffic signals, so each day the car with Micro Hybrid will have to stop and start 100 times.

Finally how about the A/C? Will it work as usual even after the engine stops?

Trouble? Oops? What sort of trouble? Anyone knows?

Anyhow, sometimes companies may feel sensitive information are being leaked on the internet which might affect their sales. In this case the current model sales might be challenged. Its technology, for some its a pleasure and help, for some its a trouble.

May be Team-BHP mods think about some new rules.

It is called micro-Hybrid because battery comes in to play for re-starting ( running starter moter) in contrast to full hybrid where battery is used for idling and when engine load is low. Tata's are also procuring micro-Hybrid ( start stop) system for Nano micro-Hybrid version from Bosch.

Only time can tell how this micro-hybrid performs in crowded Indian cities so I think one needs to wait and not become a beta tester for Micro-Hybrid.

Hi, The below are some observations of mine for the new Scorpio!!(posted on scorpio pics thread)

Quote:
Hi Guys,

Yesterday I had to visit my ASC at Hyd as I felt the mHawk clutch was hard!! Few updates are as follows,

1. Clutch master assembly was replaced under warranty and now the clutch is smooth.
2. The central console for Power window switches had a problem with one LED not glowing, ASC replaced this too under warranty.

Whilst I was there, the to be launched revamped Scorpio made its way to the PDI area. I walked up and observed...

1. The headlight and bumper gap was looking awkward(more than required) with the rubber beading underneath the HL looking badly done.
2. The electronic ORVMs were good but lacked the facility of auto folding the entire unit. You still have to fold them manually if you do not want to use them..this i find little useless!!
3 Gear knob is similiar to Bolero/Xylo. Looked little out of place in the car.GOod to hold though!
4. The exterior door handles are changed to the new Xylo type ones. Had a good feel than the older ones.
5. Rear step in is high and might be a problem for ingress for 7 seaters!
6. Thigh support on seats is increased and felt refreshing!
7. The model I saw is called as 'micro hybrid'- the supervisor was telling me that the car engine can be put off /on at signals for the wait time with a press on the clutch pedal. Would love to know more what exactly this 'micro hybrid' means & does!!(got these answers from Anup today on the forum!)

Overall not very an exciting package(NEW)!!
