it would be great if its not as cramped as the A star's rear seats. And with diesel as well, looks like they already have a winner. Or may be its a little too early to comment.

But, according to Sid's post the boot is 205 litres for Ritz whereas 232 litres for Swift. Sounds contradictory!

No tacho even in the VDi and VXi. That's lower spec than the swift.

Is a pop up tacho different from the ones we normally have ? Perhaps the lower versions have those.

The Ritz/Splash has the same instrument console as the a-star. There is just one big speedo dial with a large LCD that has the trip and the fuel display bars. No provision for tacho on the console. Hence the pop up tacho pod like the A-star.

And in flesh, the pop-up Tacho looks mighty shady!

I guess MSIL will have its hands full pricing the Ritz. And we might see a scenario for every 25k price difference, MSIL has a model to offer!

Sid. Brilliant!
Is this replacing something? Or the typical 'flogging the dead horses...' story repeats?

So, the Ritz is getting ready for a splash in our markets. MSIL is planning to keep the whole small car market to itself or what? As said, every 25k of notes extra from 2Lacs, there is a different model available from them.
India for MSIL is now becoming like Malaysia for Proton. Every ten notes extra will get you a different car there from the same manufacturer.

I'm disappointed to see that they have excluded a tacho from Vdi/Vxi models. Hope they change the decision.
Any idea of the speaker sizes/door pads etc.?

If splash/ritz sits between A-Star & Swift, I will be very disappointed. I thought Ritz will be higher than Swift specs given that it will be competing with i20.

In that case, I think I am only looking forward to GP now!

How about interior space?

Is it comfortable & better than A star? (specially in rear?)

Splash's petrol version has a smaller engine than Swift. Ofcourse, it will be positioned between A-Star and Swift. Because Maruti has a much better policy for small car segment and its engine options, and not a fool like Hyundai. The confused Hyundai gives a 1.2 ltr engine for a small i10, and 1.1 ltr engine option for a bigger heavier Getz. Again, the bigger i20 gets the same 1.2 ltr engine as that of i10 that is about 200Kg lighter than i20! Getz has another 1.3 ltr engine, and i20 is devoid of that engine, though i20 is positioned above Getz! Fools they are.

Euro 4 ??

How come both engines can be Euro 4 ready when they are Euro III right now with the same specifications ? Probably they must have changed something or then did a minor modification ??
Forgive my negligence if I misinterpreted something.

Usually older generation engines will be clubbed with an improved particulate filter and better catalytic converters in the exhaust to attain the emission norms specifications.

Glad to know that the Ritz is coming with ddis. Will be a perfect car for an older person with none of the shortcomings of the Swift like the rattling or the tight back seat or the dull dash.
