I think ANHC and Ugly are antonyms

ANHC in white looks stunning! Even better than Civic (in my opinion). Somehow some of the other colors dont gel with the design though!

Dont you think there's a problem with the designing if it looks good only in one color?

well it looks super good in one color but is no way ugly in others. Again its my perspective!
I think most cars look good in only a handful of colors! A Ferrari wont look the same in brown would it?

I think it's quite ugly. The front like somebody else said looks like a poor man's civic, and the back looks like a clenched butt (I think it's because of the rear bumper). The tyres are too small and the side profile is rather plain.

i find its rear design a bit odd... the boot, tail lights & rear bumper. but the front looks quite good, those headlights & grille are striking. it needs fatter rubber though.

Hi all.
I do not think it is ugly.I feel its the best ever design for a Honda city.
And one thing we must appreciate that Honda does really bring updated models and that too totally new.

The wheel size makes the front end ungainly. Saw a red one with decent sized alloys. Looks really good.
dark colours would look good on it.

As alot of people pointed out the front grill looks absolutely hideous.I think if they colored the grill the same as the colour of the car like in a camry instead of the generic grey it would look much better. Also the rear looks as if it ends abruptly.

The front is good, however the rear is horrible and the tail end from the side is like the verna, the proportion is not correct.

It is ugly. But after the NHC, even Om Puri fitted with 4 wheels and an engine would look sexier. So it's still better than the previous gen. Hopefully the next gen City looks as good as the OHC

This true. In polished mettalic, grill and body colour are the same and to my eyes it looks most stunning.
Rear end looks abrupt if you go by a conventional 3 box sedan expectation but many cars these days have some monovolume traits without pronounced boot or nose. BMW introduced this abruptly chopped rear design and many other cars have got inspired by it.

If I were to pick amongst the best looking City's over the last few years it would be in the order of

1 - OHC
2 - ANHC
3 - Fugly Ugly NHC. (no offense to any NHC owners here )

Reality is that atleast for now , Honda has come up with better styling externally compared to the older NHC. I can live with it and to my eyes it looks really appealing than appalling like its predecessor NHC.

Well the problem is with the grille. Thats why Polished metal looks good on it.( Since grille color & polished metal are of almost same shade).

I dont get it. There are so many cars on the road & for each car there would be a crowd which likes it & another set which hates it. So what??? looks are subjective .
