This RR belongs to the Delhi based Modi group that owns the Mobile Store chain. This attention grabbing idea came from the MD who is Lalit Modi's (of IPL fame) brother. The car has been spotted around the country whenever new stores are opened or for other promotional events.

As for the missing statuette, I believe there is a switch that lets you flip it into the grille. While driving the statuette automatically sinks into the grill once a set speed has been achieved.

I have seen this RR in several places in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Last time I saw this couple of months back infront of Mobile Store, opposite to Vashi Railway Station - providing ride to the customers who bought mobile from the store. Really RR ke naam pe dhabba.

Come on Guys, I think apart from being a great marketing idea it is a wonderful thing to do.

How many amongst would get to ride in a RR in our lifetimes and if the man/woman on the street gets to experience it by going out and purchasing a mobile which almost every one can and does do these days great!

If only someone could post pics of RRs and other exotics being put to all sorts of use at carnivals and state fairs abroad, I have also seen a couple of them being used as 'Hearse wagons'. Cars are meant to be driven any which way that might be.

This Vijai Super mounted high up was photographed by me when I had been to Jashpur dist, Chhattisgarh in 2003. The workshop fellow had dismantled its engine , gearbox etc alongwith the rear wheel to get some value for the two wheeler high up in the air.Sorry for the picture quality as the image is not digital.

This was the scene at a Vintage and Classic Automobile rally in 2007. My Landmaster is parked for the concours inspection. The judge Mr Marespand Dadachanji is seen marching towards my car.Alongside there are two Fords a Fiesta and an Endeavour for display. The Ford dealer had sponsored the event and thats how the Fords landed alongside old cars.A 1931 Ford Model A coupe, the grandmother of these Fords is also seen in the rally.

Who uses this Refreshed Scorpio? A Clue : its not mine!
A newspaper lensman clicked this Scorpio moving on the wrong side of the road. And the person seated inside: Deputy Commissioner of Police, Nagpur Traffic (he heads the traffic branch). This is'nt the greatest shock!
Now comes the punch: The event held yesterday was to make school and college students take oath at a Traffic Safety Campaign (Never to break traffic rules) to be administered by Mr R.R. Patil, Home Minister,Maharashtra, and the DCP was slated to attend this function for which he headed in his official Scorpio!

Venue : 4550 miles from Delhi
Location : Nottingham, UK

This is one of the trendier, upmarket Indian restaurant in Nottingham and the rick on top does justice to the name of the restaurant.
