poor resale is owing to the higher operating costs of the V6 monster, of course add to that the spare costs etc. You may even see a NHC and accord same year model selling at similar prices in the used car world.

The M/T should be around 18 and the A/T around 18.75 OTR, in Kolkata. Base prices, not the Elegance/Inspire. So 19.6 OTR seems to good to be true?

Of course not! Used deals rule. Each has its own advantage & disadvantage, though from the value perspective, you can't get more horses for 7 lakhs.
Dont know if I will go for it, but I sure want a test drive as soon as its out!

Yeah, cos if the new v6 is also AT and has a soft suspension, then apart from the new shape(a bad thing IMHO) and some extra goodies you are paying 13 L for some extra horses which can perhaps also be remedied to a certain extent by a remap and mild mods (another 1 L I presume!).

Though paddle shift will tip things in favour of the new one. As for mileage, if you save a million rupees just buying it, then no amount of VCM techno gadgetry will make up that amount!

Ofcourse, thats just one side of the argument!

I quite like the new shape (though the outgoing one wasn't bad either) so might wait 3 yrs or so to get the newer V6 one in 2nd hand market i.e. get one below 10L. But I surely wouldn't be going for any mod. It will be hard enough to convince wife to spend 1 million bucks on a old car than a new sedan. She doesn't care if it's a V6 or a single cyclinder engine

Add to that, that's the only way I can afford an accord. (Infact V6 is the only reason I want to go for it)

evo - it also apparently has thicker?? anti roll bars so that should improve the handling to an extent.

Oh, did the older V6 also have thicker ARB as compared to the normal car?

then i was wondering why not program the ecu to run permanently on 2 or 1 cylinder ^ ^

Damm!! im completely turning into that mileage kithna detha hai person !!
Like the idea of a Red Josh Button. Who knows there might actually be something on there. Kind of like a Super sport mode.

The Second hand 7L Rs. 3-4 year old Accord seems to make more sense for the drive, though the snob value would just not be there today.

May pick one up next year. (I mean a second hand V6 from the previous generation.)
