I remember reading in this thread that the styling is not worth for a 18 lakh but is good enough for a 12 lakh vehicle!

More I look at it, the front is looking digestible but it is the rear with so many ribs and a half moon I am not able to come to terms with.

Going by the guesstimates doing round here I thought base variant will be minimum 12L+, but beating it 1.2L is a real surprise. I was on the way to office and dealer called me to inform the price, I just didn't believe him and asked him to check the price again.

From a short review I read at another website and the photos, the fit and finish is good. The space are rear is real great ( unless they had the front seats adjusted so) .

M&M I'm sorry for bashing you on the design.
The price is too tempting and it hides all the design mishaps.
The front bumper can easily be changed or even if M&M offer a bumper as accessory as in ben's makeover, i'm sure many will opt for that.

W8 2WD - 11.95 L
W8 AWD - 12.88 L

Is this pricing a killer or a shocker??? Or a killing shocker perhaps (for the competition)

Now now, a monocoque 2WD reasonably equipped (guessing since no details on features yet) DIESEL vehicle with a SUV FORM FACTOR with GOOD power and torque FIGURES is just what the aam janta with 11L rupees wanted!! Now forget the Safari and Aria, they just have to go to dogs (no offense to TATA lovers or their owners), but what will happen to the sedans which retail at that price??

Some one looking for a stylish SUV with car like ride and handling at 11ish range did not have any options till now. But this offering looks like a complete game changer to me.

Maruti should learn from M&M and start manufacturing Vitara with a diesel engine here! Till now it is completely wasting a capable vehicle with that high pricing

Well I find the design to be good too. It could have been better, but it cannot be labelled as a deal breaker even if the XUV costed a bit more.

Overall a superb effort. This vehicle definitely has a desirability quotient

Great looks I must say, though I didn't like the back that much. But the front and side profile are great. Good work mahindra!

Very true, even I need to see and TD the AWD to check its capability, though I am not going to throw it around in ditches but its has to do the job well to justify that extra lakh
