Is it only me or others also feel that Zig Wheel articles is a not unbiased. I can clearly see the tilt towards creating an impression that its a great product. It is also to be noted that they had the pictures ( day time) before the launch of the vehicle.

Nopes. Even I liked the looks, especially after seeing the daylight pics from zigwheels.

Initially I was a bit disappointed but now I feel the car looks aggressive & brawny. But the bumper is overdone.

About exterior: Well, I hate the front, the rear and the Sides, rest is fine.
So much of anticipation got wasted.

Now that I am well-fed - finally had my dinner, I am beginning to soften my views a bit. Someone said the Aria looks better and I would definitely not agree. The problem with the Aria is that from up-front it looks like an overgrown Indica Vista!! Why would I pay 5 times the price for that is (I guess) what is bothering people.

The XUV500 doesn't deserve to be bracketted at or below the Aria - absolutely certainly. Everyone has pointed out the weirdness in the XUV500 and I am sure we all agree the grille treatment is excessive and the design (don't know what else to call it) at the rear is strange (to say the least). But it does look worth a 12 lakh car for sure, 15 lakhs maybe not.

I quite agree with you on this. Yes, the front end is very busy, especially with the fake grill under the headlamps. But from the side, rear 3/4 quarter, rear, it looks different. Every design takes some time to get used to, and I wont complete my comments unless and untill I see the car in person. Only when you club the looks, the presence and the stance of a product together, is when you get the real idea about it. That is when you look at it in real life, and not in pictures.

Is there any way we can ask the Taliban to issue a Fatwa on the design team at Mahindra. Their design philosophy centers around scaring other people on the road.

The side and rear profile are good. Interiors are nice too. The mosquito coil vents are okay, but the front is sheer ugliness smacked with an even uglier stick.

Heck they shoehorned a Dodge Challenger'ish lump between the B & C pillars. Looks out of place on an otherwise clean design.

Nope. But we're decidedly in a minority. Almost an endangered species of sorts. The exterior is a bit meh on the whole, but the interiors seem superb, minus that faux wood finish.

Perhaps it has the kind of looks that'll grow on people, who knows.

Looks really "Evoque"cative as mentioned Turbonator, very very desirable, loaded with features and powerful enough; get the dynamics right who would need a T-Fort and the waiting list that comes with it. Santa Fe/Captiva better look out.
