Re: New Mahindra SUV for 2011 - Pics on Pg. 112 *UPDATE* XUV500 launched at 10.8 lakh

I was waiting for the AT fortuner to be lauched;but after checking the XUV for the entire day,I will be booking the W8 AWD tomorow.I had called up a couple of dealers and everyone said that vehicle has not come in the Showroom.
Will keep you guys updated.
With 15L OTR pricing for Mumbai is a killer.
Even if the Facelifted Fortuner launches ,IMHO the OTR price will be close to 30L.
I just saw the video review on Utv bloomberg and must admit that the XUV looks really attractive.
Just hope that I get the Delivery during Diwali.
Can anyone in Mumbai confirm as to where can I TD and book the xuv?(I stay in Andheri)

I am sure the Yeti,Aria,Outlander,Endeavour and outlander are going to have a very hard time ahead.

Do let us all know I too would be booking one ASAP!! Have been waiting tooooo long to shift from a Fusion to and "SUV"!

Few things I dont like
1. the colour combination of the seats!
2. the front grill - but then again as said earlier - It in Your face not mine - so move over!
3. no space for luggage with the third row.
4. middle row and 3rd row cannot be moved ahead to make more space.
BTW how would you get to the spare tyre with the 3rd row occupied?

Anybody with the Pune prices??

Rgds

One of the first video reviews of the XUV500! In Hindi.
Looking very nice in black! It hides all those edges on the front

In case if you book it today, even if the prices are increased later, i dont think M&M would ask you to shell out more at the time of delivery. You would still be getting it at current prices.

Re: New Mahindra SUV for 2011 - Pics on Pg. 109 *UPDATE* XUV500 launched at 10.8 lakh

It was being called over optimism till 24 hours ago when I asked if there is any chance of it being launched in the Innova price range!
Mahindra showed excellent marketing sense here. They gotta build up the brand value first and what better way to do it by increasing your presence on the road. Prices can always go north but the product can see its death in no time if not priced properly.
I am waiting to see what happens to the Innova now. Do we get basic features like Auto folding mirrors and stuff?

Read through from page 109 till here, (have been reading since 3 hours now). Pricing and looks wise its something experts have already said and I would just go by what they say. However, a good review is what I am eagerly waiting for on team-bhp.

I would still differ my buying, until a few of them are out there, and have churned out a lot of kms, with no major issues. Folks we often do not realize jumping in too early is risky.

Just want to deter the early birds :P

Is it just me or is this an incredibly busy design ? There is just way too much going on with the design, from the weired flares in the front to the window that looks like the guys hand slipped ? The Interiors however are fantastic. If they launch this car in the US, I will buy it.

Wow this SUV seems to have lot of people hooked

Honestly it looks great except for a quirky Face.

The headlights look good but somehow they seem to be inspired by the previous gen Acura RL's headlights

I dont think they will increase the prices for current bookings.
If the price increase is significant and OTR goes beyon 16L, then IMO it will no longer be VFM. They should play the volume game by keeping the prices around 14l OTR.

Waiting for this review eagerly. I was planning on booking the Innova this month so that I can get it in January. But now that I have an option will wait for the reviews and also do a test drive soon.
