I think thats the whole intention. Make it look big but actually being small and specifically 4000mm for India. I like the innovative storage ideas. Need to see if it actaully works for us.

5.5 to 6.5 ex-showroom(ABS and Airbags standard) , that's what the pre assumption are there with most of them .

Will not be surprised if the top-end with automatic transmission exceeds 6.5.

i think these prices are way too optimistic. I would expect them to charge at least a 10% premium over i20 prices. And if an i20 can sell at those prices, Honda sure can.

Honda reaffirming the june launch

Source : DNA Money - Bangalore

Jnaneshwar Sen, vice president (marketing and sales) at Honda Siel Cars India, scoffed at a market share target of 10% for his company, saying Honda never set itself any such target. But Sen did admit that the slowdown has forced his company to talk volumes "month to month". "Everything, including market share ambitions by industry players, has been set back by 3 years because of the current economic downturn," he said, adding that Honda has brought forward the launch of its small car 'Jazz' to June from December because it felt the market was keen on this car.
This, even as the company has postponed its car assembly unit at the second greenfield manufacturing facility in Rajasthan by 2 years while going ahead with the first phase of construction at Tapukara in the state. The total investment envisaged was Rs 1,000 crore. Then there is Europe's largest carmaker, Volkswagen, and its plans that have already been tweaked for the Indian market.

6 Lacs for the Base version with the 1.2 Engine

Bye Bye Honda!

Looks like Honda has hired some people from Korea or Koutons brand in their Marketing teams.

They are on the same path, first pricing it high and then offering discounts to sell their products (as this amount seems very difficult to digest even for Honda fans), which never was Honda's strategy

actually 6L seems to be a pretty decent price. Not VFM in anyway, but it will sell in numbers due to the practicality and extreme FE and of course the Honda badge which is quite popular in India.

Honda Jazz will sport the highest price tag while offering the least amount of features among premium hatchbacks like the Hyundai i20 and Fiat Grande Punto. It will also outsell all other premium hatcbacks in India by a minimum of 2:1.
