No manufacturer would advertise a teaser to launch a cheaper variant! It could well be the Jetta Hybrid.

Could be they are selling half the car for full price.
Depreciation is just half the story... wait till you buy one and we take you pants off, that will be the full story, I think.

This is the Jetta itself. For those who are unaware, Jetta is the sedan version of Golf.

This looks like a simple Lease plan offerred from VW, which will ensure that you get depreciation benefits as well as the vehicle being maintained by VW, what they get in return is volumes.

The original photo

Here is the original photo that VW seem to have used for the advert:

So it is safe to say that it is a JETTA. My bet is on a LEASE plan offering as that links to "depreciation". IMO, a HYBRID JETTA has nothing to do with depreciation.

It might be a Blue Motion Version. But as it has something to do with depreciation etc, i bet it is a cheaper version.

Three pages of speculation on a recently launched car trying to still find a firm footing on the Indian car market. Speculation on New Launches, Variants, Price Cuts, Lease/Finance options.

Cum on people seems the advertisers are getting the better of us. And as we will all safely anticipate, the speculation story will continue

Strange there is absolutely no information or advertisements of that sort in their website.

Could be the lease plan / price cut / lower variant of jetta at a lower price. Either ways, it would be an interesting news.

If I'm not mistaken, RK Swamy BBDO handles the VW account here. Let me try and get some info from a buddy there. I hate teasers! Grrr!

Its probably a finance scheme like the Icici Bullet on the Mercs and similar plans that are offered with BMWs and was also offered with the previous corolla in its last few months.

Here, buyer pays an advance say 15% of onroad price
Then pays his EMIs for 40 to 50% (prefixed by the banker and company) of his car. (int. rates are higher by 1.5 to 3%) (That is EMI of a car that would cost him 50 to 60% the price of Jetta.
After 3 years, you can opt to buy out the car paying the balance 35% - 45% or the dealer would take the money and adjust it (alteast 35 to 45% or more if car holds better resale value then) as advance for your new purchase then.

There by the buyer is guarenteed of say 35 to 45% (as fixed) after 3 years. If the car has higher resale value, that will be fully passed on to the client.

I remember Toyota fixed it at 38%
Merc fixed E class at about 41% for diesel & 37% for petrol

This scheme is quite popular, where people aspiring to buy higher segment cars at EMIs of lower segment cars.

You get to enjoy a Jetta at say a Honda City EMI
