Sorry if this sounds a bit naive...But is the Punto going to be Linea minus the boot? Or will there be a lot of other things missing (from Linea)?

The info i posted earlier was 100% true what i heard on zee news. There were no info on engine or anything else apart from the info i already posted.

I think PUNTO petrol will start at 4.25 and Diesel at 5 Lac. For 4.75 you can get fully loaded Palio MJD. Until and unless they want to totally kill Palio they will stick to above 5 lac bracket for the diesel variant atleast.

I am waiting for PUNTO for so long.

I was at the showroom today. The sales manager there said that Punto will be released next month and will have same engines as linea.
So GP should should be really powerful.

linea minus the boot for sure

but then the pricing is going to be key..

competition as of now is from I20, FABIA. these 2 cars are already quite fully loaded for the segment. the Jazz joins the segment very very soon.

So my guess is that FIAT would keep GP as specced as the LINEA and try to price it at sub i20 levels. ( atleast as introductory )

TATA vehicles are sold as TATA and not Fiat. They are sold at Fiat Dealerships. I have seen a lot of Indica's all over South America. The Nano, however may be sold as a Fiat in S. America.

Very reliable sources in FIAT have confirmed GP is nearing 'showtime' as has also been notified by neotraveller.

Anytime in May, we will come face to face with the ultimate hatch.
