Dear Laxman,

You cannot blow yourself all out at one go and then play wait and watch game. We would be giving Linea that option but in the future.

I have booked a swift Vdi, which is due in few days time. can anyone tell me is it worth to cancel swift for GP. What are the engine details for GP and price tag? Will the GP going to be bigger then swift?

I am getting swift Vdi for some 5.10 Lakhs here in chandigarh.

GP is not going to be here before May, so it depends on your need. If you are OK with waiting, I think its worth the wait. Engines are expected to be same as Linea. And definitely its more roomy that swift.

If you are looking at Diesel, then I the 1.3 MJD is going to find its place in GP for sure.

The only doubt I do have is whether it would come with the same spec as the Linea (90bhp) or the Palio/Swift/Vista (75bhp) version!

Are you sure of that? Have you seen the car in person? I say this because the i20 is not much roomier than the swift despite a much longer wheelbase.

Hopefully the GP is as roomy as it seems to be!

Looks like fiat is serious in picking up some market share. But frankly do you people think this car will compete with Jazz ,polo,120 and fabia.

I have a serious doubt on fiats pricing range for this car.

If fiat's gonna launch this in 3 months time, maybe it would still come before the VDI you are waiting for

if I were you, I would definitely wait to check out the GP before buying Swift. In fact I put off my decision to buy Swift for the past 6 months and waiting for the GP now , cant wait to get my hands on it.

On any day I can bet on a million rupees that Grande Punto is roomier than Swift. Swift has one of the most cramped rear seats.
