the top speed is definately about right! These things were on our tail when we were on our way to Goa in a swift, they kept up with us till Kholapur doing about 100KM/h

It's a great looking car, the drivers tried to keep me from clicking, but i have a few pics, will post soon. there were 11 cars doing the rounds that day...

wow great scoop man. did i miss something or are alloys offered in any variant ?
btw this car with a engine from zen could be be cheap drifting fuN!

OT:one thing that caught my eyes is that even the cheapest car in India offers fog lamps in certain variant yet a 10 lak car like NHC doesn't even offer it in any variant .

It seems this car is probably going to bring back hay days for those grey market agents for early delivery, just wondering what would be Maruti's next move.
Kudos Tata!

Great scoop as always Sidindica and keep up the good work.

Though it looks a bit short on power, the car should be peppy enough given the low kerb weight (as has been noticed by many members who have seen the car being driven). The CX would make a great city car but the long waiting period could put off many.

Great scoop sid. I am really impressed with the Nano feature list. Nice to see things like tubeless tyres as standard amongst other things. This car is very special and I can't wait for it to hit showrooms. The TDs will have a long line for sure.

Another great scoop from our very own undercover agent. Nice work Sid. Wonder how much the top end will cost on road finally.

Great news, Sid!

If DocC is to be believed, the Nano can surely go fast---to be frank, I never expected it to go beyond 60 kmph.

Very soon, traffic cops will be using a new benchmark for traffic congestion: pre-nano days and post-nano days!

Yesterday was driving behind TATA Nano for 10 min on my bike. Could not take photos. IMHO, the car engine was looking stressed even at 40 KMPH. May be the engine makes a lot of noise or else the insulation is not upto the mark.

No offence to the Nano but I felt the engine to be stressed and noisy.

10 lakh bookings??? NASA should be informed. They need not worry about alien invasion anymore. Looks like the nano is going to invade the world instead! Perhaps tata's unique way of saving the world. With so many nano's lined up on the roads, everyone will start taking trains and cycles to all their desitnations cause there will be no place for any other car or bike. So less pollution and no global warming! Yes Yes i know

It looks really funny for having two different size of tyre's in a car. Also the engine bay opening is in the bumper?? it sounds odd.
