Hmmm, waiting for 3/4 might be the thing to do. Unless there's a "correction" on the current 2.2s. Ratan Tata's interview in the TOi today was also nice - he clearly states he's directed that concepts of only the cars planned for production should be displayed at auto shows. Tata also seem to have a stake in Pinnafarina!
Tata buys a stake in Italian Pininfarina - Times Online
Had completely missed that.

waiting for the New Safari- If my sources in TM are to be believed (and htey have been pretty reliable so far), this is gonna be one hell of a machine with the 2.2 140 bhp version only the base powerplant, ABS with EBD available as an option across all variants.

Of course, these ar ethe R&D guys, and have no control over what the marketing fellas finally decide.

ABS & EBD is regular tata vaporware. There have been leaks and press releases about ABS /EBD/Airbags on various tata products , and nothing concrete has happened so far.

A pininfarina designed tata vehicle ?
In malayalam, one would have been able to put it as " ethra manoharamaya nadakkatha agraham" - Such a beautiful wish that would never work!
I think that describes it exactly
I wish they would focus more on their QC and service than their looks.

Quite excited about GP and Bravo. It would be really great if FIAT starts producing Bravo in India, rather than importing as CBU.
About GP, I won't be surprised to see the delayed launch (somewhere in late 3rd quarter or even 4th quarter) as they may decide to let Linea have some more wind. So to me "june" launch seem to be very unlikely unless sales of Linea falls drastically.
But I would still expect the GP in june (sometimes your heart doesn't listen to your mind).
And keeping my fingers crossed

Nice line up.
The contest in the luxury segment will heat up after the Jaguar, Alfa Romeo and Maserati entry.

Finally Ferrari's being officially sold in India.

Nano Diesel, could very well be India's best city runabout. Also the Europe will be eagerly awaited.

@ prince_pervez no a facelift but a new model based on the vista.

Yup. Add boot to indica vista and you have new indigo. If I'm not wrong, we have got some doctored and some spy pics as well on one of the threads.

A wonderful line up. IF this indeed gets realized then we will have some strong competition across the board.

And will this not make TATA a very strong force in the automobile arena, with so many variants across the bands?

I just hope they do better with what ever they do, and not just give out a half cooked meal! Its about time someone in TATA really looked into it.

I think there are two separate companies dealing with Tata and Fiat cars.

Tata Motors Ltd for Tata cars.
Fiat India Automobiles Ltd (FIAL) for Fiat cars.
FIAL is the joint-venture of Fiat and Tata.
