ah. yes the car looked strickingly familiar.
Now go it . What a el-cheapo way of PSing a car and showing up in your press ads. I wonder if they have even flicked the image from TeamBHP.

Roadworx is a service centre to stay miles away from .

Nice find tejas that they posted a honda city when Roadworx isn't a "Care taker" of Honda.

Btw did you see a clear reference of Nummereins at the bottom for contact numbers

Goofed big time

Skoda PR, you have goofed big time here. You don't realize the bad publicity this issue will gather. A lot of us folks use TBHP to decide on buying their cars. This is definitely not a good PR for Skoda.

Well we need to change that, don't we? It should be 'damage' to them, the company, and not the 'metaphorically' poor buyer!

Guys, I'm trying to google "skoda india", "skoda review" and "skoda after sales service", but no team-bhp links are being shown other than this one(http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...koda-audi.html). I remeber current thread and harish's complaint thread used to be one the top listed results.

As per my knowledge, Skoda is just a surname and not a meaningful word. thought "Skoda" - "damge" makes more sense.

Well Well Well, What do we see here, The sale figures of Skoda have actually gone up.

In the executive section (Octavia + Laura), 572 cars were sold whereas in Feb, 322 were sold.

In the premium section (Superb), 176 cars were sold sold whereas in Feb, 107 were sold.

Very true. Here are different meanings of work škoda:

mischief, harm, wrong, worse, scathe, prejudice, pity, loss, injury, ill, hurt, disadvantage, detriment, deprivation, damage

Another Response from Skoda

I got another response from Skoda India. Posting as-is. I am posting my response to them as well.
----------------------------
Dear Mr Karthik and Srinivas,
Thank you for your responses. I appreciate the fact that you are monitoring the internet for feedback on your products and services. When I referred to 'horror' stories on the web, I not only referred to Team-BHP, but also innumerable other sites which have similar stories. The fact that you are concerned and want to improve is a very good step. The best thing would be to publicly acknowledge that these stories are going around (mind you - I am not asking for you to accept or reject the story, but only acknowledge that it exists) and clearly enunciate how your company deals with service, complaints and exceptions.

What concerns me most is the availability and cost of spare parts. I have been talking to other Skoda owners as well and the common complaint seems to be that parts are not in stock most of the time. I am sure you would have heard this as well and are taking steps to address this issue.

With regard to test drive, my parents are currently touring and will be back in Bangalore only by Mid May. I'll contact you/your dealership to arrange for a test drive. Thank you for the offer once again.

regards,
Prashanth

I think comparing month on month data is of limited value for something like this. I'm an equity analyst and do this for a living. Have found most arguments based on such data to be unreliable at best. If you insist on using month-on-month figures, at-least compare them to overall segment growth for the same period.

To me the only data point you site that has real value is the Superb sales figure, which does seem to support your argument that the company isnt being punished for its misdeeds (if any).

Skoda numbers have gone up (in fact just more than doubled) over Jan / Feb. However their sales are still down by 36% vs March 08 and down 50% vs Jan - March 08.

Cheers,
