I think this is just one off model brought in by Toyota for demo/show purposes. I doubt it will be manufactured and sold in India.

I think toyota should start manufacturing in India rather importing the car.

Never really liked the car. For what reasons,I don't know.
But I do like how quiet this car is. A lady at work drives one,and she scared the hell out of me when she drove by in the enclosed parking lot.

Driven them. AMAZING car to drive and own especially in a city with traffic. Knowing that you're burning near zero fuel while creeping along in traffic is a GREAT feeling, trust me

It is!^^
I still get a kick every time I see the central display showing electricity only!
Also as mentioned, the silence is awesome at speeds below 50kmph.
When driving in an area with many pedestrians, you actually have to be careful because you are unsure whether they know you are approaching or not.

Also, due to the electric engine, which gives full "torque" at once, the acceleration to 50 is impressive; I'm always first off the lights

cheers

If they can price this within the 18 Lac price mark OTR, it'll give India a credible alternative to the Accord and the Superb and a fitting "upgrade" to the shitty Jetta and Laura. None of them can claim to be even remotely as technologically superior, despite the Prius in question being a generation old.

And don't underestimate the space. It has nearly as much space as a Camry.

Must be on test in India. I don't think it will be manufactured in India(they don't expect volumes).
