Hey guys,
What is the mileage i should expect from lancer.
Getting 7Kmpl in city and ACI claims 9.6. ACI has been right with all our other cars.
It has done only 700km but then i am not sure there will be a jump of over 2.6 Kmpl after the first service.

@ Lambo....wait a while dude...lancer takes time to run in properly and increase mileage...one of my good frnds used to get an avg similar to yours for a couple of months after he got the car but as the first service got done and time passed the car now finally gives an average of constant 9.And he rips it big time... upgraded types and alloys to 195/50/15 ..which probably drives his mileage lower.

12-13 kpl with aircon in the city. Shift up at 2500 rpm. Try revving to 6500 and you'll still manage 9-10 kpl.

ps. the baleno has 94 bhp

Guys, could someone tell me whether the mileage of New Honda City will reduce if I upgrade the tires to 195/60/R14 from the stock 175/60/R14??..
Also,what if I fit in 195/60/R15?..affects mileage??

195/60r14 and 195/50r15 will be the right upsizes.
the 195/60r15 will change ur ododmeter and speedo meter readings .

yeah going for wider tires will definitely affect your FE as there is a larger contact patch with the road as compared to you OE tires.

i think its 175/65r14.

with 175/65r14 ,the tire wall will be 0.65%of 175=113.75mm
with 195/60r14,it will be 117mm

and
with 195/50 r15 it will be 97.5mm.

yeah it will a lower side wall, but thats the right upsize if u take the overall diamater into consideration..

195/55r15 can be fitted but it wil give a speedo error of 2%.

Even 195/60/14 will give similar speedo error plus increase in GC by 5 mm..
