No need to guess, unlike the clueless Fiat chaps, Hyundai does have an up-to-date website.

Well said. And when they say 'new' there is always something new added on, unlike other manufacturers who change names, remove features and relaunch them as 'new'. Whatever feelings one might have about the 'Hyundai Marketing Strategy' they have always given the customer something more. Where other manufacturers reduced engine capacity to get more market share, they provided an uprated engine on the current model at the same price.

Are they talking about an engine similar to the vtec/vvti? On the site (and the advert) they've mentioned
"RTiI TM (Real Time Intelligent Ignition) never misses a trick. It determines the perfect time to ignite the fuel and air mixture under any condition. Instead of fixed ignition curves in normal programmed ECUs, the RTiI reads the quality of fuel and your mind, changing the ignition timing accordingly to deliver perfect combustion. Resulting in superb mileage, power and ultra-low emissions."

Isnt this variable timing? Please correct me if i'm wrong....

I dont know about whether this is called variable timing in its purest sense. The variable timing I have learnt abut consists in large part of an 'intelligent' cam. This seems more of electronics. But I do know it is called slick marketing .....

And Steeroid - two thumbs up for the sense of humour.

it is all crap non-sense hyundai marketing trick.in any mpfi car,the ECU controls how much fuel is fed into the engine depending upon the conditions and about that RTiI any new car comes with knock sensors(which tells it the quality of the fuel)and adjusts the ignition timing accordingly.

RHiA TM (Rotary Head Intelligent Valve Actuator) is a cool customer. It does the job of opening and closing the valves with effortless ease, delivering more power while reducing the engine work load. Because of this the engine heats up less and gets more life. Add to this the thin section low-friction piston rings reduce mechanical load, Plus wear and tear
and where does it mention that this thing has a variable valve timing system that explanation is crap and if u are talking about fiat about the FLY BY WIRE thing in Fiat diesels then it is true because it has a electronically controlled accelerator rather than a cable operated one.

So basically they are launching the same old car with a few more stuff like Knock sensors and all which are standard on most new cars and have given the car a better name and have used so hi-fi intellectual words to bore and confuse customers into believin that it is different.
Am i right?

I think Hyundai has gone mad about its small car.

Enough is Enough. Kabhi 5 seat belt, kabhi knock sensors, kabhi Epsilon...

All this holy crap...

no...wait... i am wrong.. Hyundai earns 80% of their customers by playing these tricks.
well done Hyundai. Thumbs up to you again!

Not to forget other ad campaigns. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5434

1. Most popular brand amongst Indian Online Community.
2. Number of Hyundai owners travelling abroad is higher than that of owners of Maruti, Tatas etc.
3. More Hyundai owners have computers, are computer literate etc etc.

Well all this for advertising a "sunshine" car.

Now get me the fool who made the stuppid Indica ad?

I guess it is something like the Vtec or the VVti which they are talking about and i guess they have changed the engine. It should be faster and better to drive. Lets see who can get there for a test drive a post a review asap..
