So there is the Xylo, the Scorpio, The Dzire, the Dzire, The Dzire and the i20!
Typical Rediff article - incomplete, superficial, numbers and masala!

well expected for the-
xylo: seen lots of it on the roads
scorpio: seen 4 facelifted ones on road, read 3 ownership reviews on this forum!
swift: it has always been selling well!

but the i20???? i have rarely seen any on the road.

@ karan: the xylo & scorpio has a 3 month waiting period.

I think they meant the i10 and not the i20..or they should have given the i10 instead of the i20,to which, response has been pretty lukewarm.

Generally I have seen that automotive articles on most of the site and newspapers are meaning less. This includes some articles published even in much respected newspapers.

This news article is just a part of it. Its meaning less and has nothing good in it.

1) Xylo : Its a successful product so far. I have seen quite a few even in relatively small city from which I am chipping away this reply.

2) Swift/Swift Dzire diesel : When were they slow selling ?

3) I20 : Not selling well, its pretty obvious. Hyundai did not learn from Getz that pricing can make or break a deal. Now that the image in Indian market is tarnished for this car, Hyundai will have to work overtime to get this product right. And Ritz is coming too.

I feel that we have the thread http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...-analysis.html that says it all.

I think each area/state/city have always different sales figures.
Like in Amritsar ,Punjab. we dont see Xylo much, but I have seen about 20 new facelifted innovas.

But other cars like Dzire / Swift are selling like hotcakes here too just like the rest of the country!

NHC and linea sell equally well (41 and 38 units resp. in the previous month)
but fiesta and ikon sell better !

i20 there were 12 sold last month !

Are you serious? All Scorpio variants & colors have a three month waiting period?

Not by a long shot. Scorpio is available off the shelf, atleast in my city. And Jalandhar is a big market for SUVs. Xylo has a waiting period of 40 days here. Recently, when I went to check the Xylo at the mahindra dealership, instead of pressing me to book the xylo, the salesman tried his best to sell me a Scorp - which according to him made more sense and could be delivered immediately!
