Default Hyderabad - Lots of Outstate Cars being stopped by Cops?

Has hyderabad RTO/Police announced a crackdown on outstate vehicles? Yesterday, lots of outstate cars were being stopped in Gachibowli. Today, even in Ameerpet, i saw couple of KA registered Trucks and a KA registered swift pulled over by the cops.

This crack down happens only when someone wants to prove to the higher echelons that he is doing his job.

Most of this checking happens around the IT Companies (Hi-Tec City, Gachibowli, etc) as they know that the most of the population has migrated to Hyderabad and a source of easy money!

The MindSpace Circle in Hitech-Durgam Cheruvu road is the favorite spot for checking by RTO guys. Seen such things being done 3 times in the past 3 months. They do seem partial towards IT areas.
