Heartening to know, Sir. Because I stand for Mercedes Benz!, and C63 for me without a blinked eyelid.

+ to that . The rear of the current generation looks way better . It also has a slight sonatish look at the back.

Guys the car is at the Mercedes service center in Bombay. Saw the car for the second time (1st time dubai), but could not take pictures as there was bad light. will try again tom. It looks gorgeous and the rear is a bit dissapointing. The biggest factor being the price which is not on the lighter side. I have been adviced by my friend in Mercedes to hold my own car and not exchange it. I felt the same as an additional 20 odd lakhs over mine is not worth it.

Hasn't Autocar India Already covered this car in detail? I must say though, I prefer the Older car's shape. Much Much more elegant than this current one.

That it must have Cyrus. not seen the magazine yet. In person and in a picture is a vast difference for the justice done to the car. It really depends from person to person, i like my car shape over the new and some would like the new over mine. The older one definately is Elegant and the w212 is a cross between elegance and sportiness. Both cars are good in their own right but the steep price hike cannot be justified to a large extent.

The W211 is definately one of the better looking Mercs in recent times. I just love the front of the new W212 but cant say the same about the rear. However I reserve my final judgement till I see it in the flesh.

I would call it the baby S class, with nothing to call its own except the head lights. Drop in at the office anytime and i can show you the W212 Dippy. We do not need to wait for it to come to the showroom .

I read in TOI today that E-Class is being phased out in India as they normally do with a variant every 7 years. So this launch seems contradictory. Can someone clarify?

People had similar love hate feeling and reservation about the W211 when it came I recall I was not very thrilled with the look either. When I test drove it I felt it felt lighter and the suspension was light/hollow or less progressive as well compared to the older model. Over time the shape grew on me and now I think it is a good looking car. Even the ride seems more agile so I reckon they were aiming for more sporty feeling which i initial felt less progressive. I reckon the same thing would happen with this look

From the information I've received, the launch for Delhi seems to be scheduled for the 26th of this month.

Looks like MB is outsourcing it's design work to Bangle. I hear a lot of positive things about the Gizmos though. Hope they have stepped up the quality as said or be prepared for a mother load of repair bills.

Not likely it is their mainstay variant.
