They have already reduced the price of the GetZ CRDi by a significant amount. I think it was Rs. 40,000 or so.

Yep! It was priced at 4.99lac ex showroom. i don't think anything else comes even close to it in VFM stakes.

The nomenclature might be wrong. but the reduction in price and other goodies are definitely needed......

The asta will have airbags but no abs, that's quite strange.
Would there be an asta with abs or will only the asta(o) have abs ?
IIRC KPzen drove the one with ABS + sunroof.

When I said tin box, I meant, they gave a 110bhp CRDI engine on that "pure" car. By "pure" I mean, it comes without the basic ABS, EBD, Air Bags, on safety parts and a lot more features.

Yes, it is a "pure" (if the word "tin" is demeaning to Getz CRDI owners) car with four wheels and an engine.

Thanks for letting me know. When I set my eyes on Getz CRDI, it used to be around 7.5L OTR Bangalore. Not sure, but definitely above 7L and no basic features even as options. I have not looked at that for quite long. Sorry for the off topic. But hope it gives some perspective to what to look at for i20 CRDI.

And the berry red posted on the motorbeam site, is the normal asta version without sunroof. It has an abs sticker on it too.

Also, the car at the dealership in cochin is a magna.

So i guess that settles the confusion regarding the models!

Don't get confused. ASTA (O) will not be less than 7.0L ex-showroom. IMO a hatch above 7.0L OTR is not VFM unless its a BRAVO
